All North Pacific member nations,
The United States of Nathanea will be holding its 2019 Presidential Election on April 24th, in which the President-elect will hold office until 2024, or if re-election, 2029. There are three candidates this year, all from different parties:
Nathan Hyde (R) -- Mr. Hyde graduated from the most prestigious college in all of Nathanea, the top of his class. He has an IQ of 125. He studied business in college, and built Hyde Express Co. in 2010, which grosses an average $945 million per year. Before becoming a business magnate, Hyde worked as an economics professor at Walton University (where he graduated), hoping to teach the young people of Nathanea basic financial knowledge, such as taxes, loans, credit, etc. He married his wife, Rosetta, in 1996, and has two children with her: Jackson and Cody. If elected, Hyde plans to pursue an economic agenda, rebuilding the fallen Nathanean economy. He plans to use a trickle-down economic system, and claims the economy will be the best it has ever been when he leaves office, whether it be five or ten years from now. He is currently forty-nine years old, and in great health.
Miranda Schumacher (D) -- Mrs. Schumacher also graduated from Walton University, and also in the top of her class. She has not released her IQ information, claiming that is her personal business. She received a master's degree in criminal justice, and worked as a juvenile detention officer for eight years. She then became a public defender, until being elected as District Court Judge of Glory County in Hannibal, in 2004. She held that office until declining a third term in 2012, and instead ran for the Nathanean Senate, winning in a landslide vote. She has served in the Senate since, and is now running for President. If elected, Mrs. Schumacher wishes to pursue an agenda of justice reform. She claims the justice system in Nathanea is broken, and must be fixed. She plans to do this in several ways, including forbidding private companies to run prisons, banning a mandatory minimum prison sentence for drug users and dealers, creating more social programs to fight crime, and increasing wages to reduce poverty, and thus crime. She is married to Fletcher Schumacher, since 1985. She is currently fifty-eight years old, and in good health.
Marie Nguyen (Socialist) -- Ms. Nguyen is a dark horse in Nathanean, due to her Socialist views. Nathanea has had a notable past of turning away from Socialist ideals, but that doesn't stop Marie Nguyen. She grew up in extreme poverty, her parents both addicted to hard drugs. When her father died of a heroin overdose in 1981, Marie was placed in the foster care system, where she was mentally and physically abused. When she turned eighteen, she was released, and attended Joplin College, receiving a bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse until 2002, when she decided to quit due to low wages. She also lost her mother to a drug overdose the following year. Marie ran for the Senate three times before success in 2012. She claims that her devotion was urged by her past, and her need to help those in her former position. Now, Marie is running for President. She claims that she works for the people, and wishes to create a livable, happy atmosphere in Nathanea. She is pursuing many agendas, but mostly healthcare. She is fighting for Universal Healthcare, among other things: free college tuition, a living wage, human rights, freedom of speech, freedom to have an abortion, and more. She has never been married, and is currently forty-six years old.
I ask you, the members of The North Pacific, to lodge a message on the RMB, confirming your preferred candidate. Please @ my nation or quote this message when you do so, so I don't have to search for messages.
Thank you, and long live The North Pacific!

Oh no one, I've just been stalking you because I got bored and connected the dots together.
Also good luck succeeding, a parallel universe where he has hair? That's impossible.

Please don’t shoot my ships. I currently have a humanitarian convoy headed to Triekru for former citizens of the great Dragonspyre.
Please note, attacking my hospital ships is considered an international war crime

Eripolis, 1955
It's a very peaceful day in the quiet town of Inwood-Kudale, in the western portion of the country. In SR, wars are raging as strong as ever, IRL the populace seems blissfully unaware of the Cold War. Pres. Perry D. Lowell was in power, and it's overall a peaceful time, a time Eripolisians label the Golden Age of Eripolis.
This specific RP follows the life of your average Eripolisian family.
There's a house, a two story house, built only two years prior. It's the Ashworth household, and they had just moved in. The family consists of: Wilford (47), the father; Jenny (46), the mother; Damian (13), the son; and Paula (8), the daughter.
The house is quiet. It is 7:00 in the morning, on a crisp Saturday morning. Soon, the patter of footsteps is heard: it is Damian, just woken up. He heads to the kitchen and prepares himself breakfast.
"This is gonna be one good breakfast," he says. Paula then walks into the kitchen. He grabs a jar of honey and pours it on top of a stack of pancakes, left over from the afternoon before.
"Hey, that's my honey!" Paula exclaims, clearly annoyed. She had bought the honey at the local supermarket after insisting to Mr. Ashworth.
"It's not even yours, Dad paid for it with his money!" Damian snapped back.
"Hrmph! Fine!" Paula groaned, clearly annoyed.
Damian then finished preparing his "breakfast". He went to the table, grabbed some silverware on the way, and started eating it. The honey smeared from the pancakes all over his face, and Paula was visibly disgusted by this.
"Eww, when Mom finds out about this, she's gonna get you," she said.
"She won't," Damian retorted, and continued to scarf down the pancakes.
Same day, 11:00 AM
Damian and Paula were playing a game of speed with each other. Mr and Mrs. Ashworth were reading the Inwood-Kudale Herald.
"Jenny, get this," Wilford said.
"What's in the paper?"
"Says here: 'New party emerges, calls itself the New Way Party'. This party seems real sketchy to me."
"Ah, so what? They won't get enough seats in either the Senate or the House of Representatives. The Conservative and Liberal Parties have firm control of both branches."
"Still, they seem like a bunch of beatniks or something. Talking about 'end times' and 'salvation', or something along those lines."
"They know us Eripolisians don't really believe in anything ultra religious."
"I'd say we're more casual, religiously. Sometimes we go to a service, but it's mostly if we got nothing better to do."
"Then why do we have a Bible in the house?"
"I heard it's a good book."
"Yeah, the Psalms are some really good poems. Yeah, this New Way Party' isn't going to get very far. If they do, then we'll use our voting powers to our advantage."
"It's a good thing we live in a country with excellent political freedoms. Men and women had the same political freedoms since, well, this country was founded."
"What about other races? Or ethnicities?"
"Yeah, they're all equal. Government doesn't want a civil and political rights crisis on its hands."
Fun facts:
1. Telephones were fully owned by the customer, the company only provided customer support.
2. The populace was strongly democratic.
3. Kids weren't very interested in such things as comic books.
4. Society in general was skeptical of many of the fears that dominated Western society IRL (e.g aliens or Communists)

I border him. If you’re concerned, a safer route for you would be to build bases in border nations or train the militaries of bordering nations. Building a fence around a pond with alligators is safer than wrestling them. I am more than willing to work with you if you’re really that worried, but as of right now I have quite good relations with Yugo.
