Hello, you are welcome to stay but I have very specific designs for this region.

If this suits then let's achieve happiness together, otherwise I wish all the best in finding your own paths to happiness.

For anyone who is interested.

Pursuit of Happiness is trying to increase it's Cheerfulness score while picking mostly mainstream option.

Codger on the other hand, doesn't mind a bit of mischievous when making people happy.

I am also casually playing the Card game, where I'll be gifting any card I have to people who have a 50%+ Cheerfulness score.

Cheered and Old bhutan

Lmao i have the least cheerfulness

Should start answering issues, can't have more people unhappy than happy! tsk tsk

*Smiles and nods in agreement*

The thing about Cheerfulness is that it is such an abstract stat. It is not obvious at all the issue answer which increases cheerfulness.

I often increase charmlessness instead.

*Raises eyebrows and nods knowingly*

*Smiles lopsidedly, and shrugs*

Oh, I didn't mean that I try to increase charmlessness; it just so happens that the answers I thought would make people happy have that effect instead.

It also seems easier to increase niceness, compassion and inclusivity than cheerfulness. I should rewrite my guide to the region to take those into account if cheerfulness isn't increasing.

*Smiles at you, then answers some issues, raising the overall cheerfulness of the region.
Smiles at you again, though this time you'd probably describe it as a smug grin.*

*Stomps the ground*
*Smile! Life water half-full! Or be beat up!*
*Every problem, simple answer!*

(This nation is going to go for 'populist' options to make people happy...and has penchant for violence.)

Yes. Cheerfulness is actually one of the hardest stats to increase.

Actually, quantum mechanics forbids this

69 minutes ago: Following new legislation in Codger, the national census includes an opt-in to join the government-run dating service.
5 hours ago: Following new legislation in Codger, the government is pursuing a new programme aimed at promoting cultural sophistication.
12 hours ago: Following new legislation in Codger, supermarkets must refund spoilt milk even six months after the sale.
14 hours ago: Following new legislation in Codger, even the nation's brussel sprouts are delicious and nutritious.

I'm giving everything the people want! There's always a bright future to look forward to in Codger.

Eep! Issue 55.

Option 2 to bring full integration with Bigtopian minorities at schools actually decreases Cheerfulness!

However for issue 1097, shutting down the Navy for party cruises is a great idea...

Bruteland and Cheered

Note to self: Issue 1028 - Using vats to grow people solve the population problem is definitely not a way to increase cheerfulness. All I wanted to do was avoid forced breeding, contraceptive bans or immigration and all its tensions....

Received a whopping 5% drop on that answer dropping me before 50% cheer.

Well I guess it mean Codger cheerfulness, they're probably not happy with Bigtopians taking over the school.

*Raises an eyebrow, as if to say "maybe the Bigtopian kids didn't like being forced to travel all the extra distance to a school where the local kids taunt them by calling them 'Bigtoes'."*

Old bhutan

Mr Brutal says:

Do not ban arts. DO NOT BAN ARTS.

People unhappy. Now must bribe to make happy!

Woo hoo! Teheheh! I'm back to neutral cheerfulness!

I just had upend the whole medical system and reject science for feel-good mystics, crystals and voodoo!

Mr Brutal enjoys brutality tool much!
Enacting slavery sinks cheerfulness - who knew?
To exile I go; another shall take my place

Big bad byte

Thank you for bringing into existence, Mr Brutal.
You have be replaced, Mr Brutal.
Do not worry, I will execute your scheme absolutely perfectly, Mr Brutal.

(This will a malevolent, yet perfectly cheerful AI run state. Absolutely perfect, as this will be a 'cheat' nation answering from Issue Results sheet to ensure Cheerfulness.)

Next step, quell democracy protests by drugging the water supplies with drugs! Stops dissent and it actually makes them more cheerful about their lot! No back downs from me, no, no, you get nothing and you'll be happy about it!

2 days 19 hours ago: The Mad Tea Party of Happy Folkz arrived from Osiris.
3 days 19 hours ago: The Mr Brutal's Happy AI of Big Bad Byte arrived from Balder.

*Smiles at the new arrivals*
