I DON'T THINK ANY OF US WERE PAYING ATTENTION FOR 11/11. OOPS.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THEIR DECISION TO BRING BACK THE HOMESTUCK WEBSITE AND INCREMENTALLY UPD8 IT?
I WONDER IF THERE WILL BE ANYTHING SPECIAL AT THE END. PERHAPS EVEN... PHANTASTIC.

huh, they're doing stuff, interesting.

I have this nagging feeling that Homestuck as we once knew it is dead. The first indication is on that blog post that says "September 11th, one of, if not the most iconic and notable dates in Homestuck history." Things are now being run by a social media manager, because what the hell happened on September 11th? I mean in Homestuck? :V

With that said, they've got the right idea if they can actually get a critical mass of readers all over again - part of the whole Homestuck experience was the update wait.

The question is whether they'd get the cadence right though - part of that wait and the excitement was not knowing if that update was coming at midnight or 3am or 9pm or whenever or if there was going to be 1 update or 10 updates at a time or how many updates per day. Or if there'd even be an update that day. Or week. Or year. Something tells me that they're not going to be re-enacting the gigapause :p

Finding a way to get Flash working is great for it, since the interactive bits were always fun and again, were part of the experience. But at the same time, I wonder if it'll hit the same with today's "younger" crowd. Like, "omg young people don't have attention spans anymore" is obviously a meme, but there has been a trend since the 2010's of content in general being shorter and shorter. Tiktoks, Youtube shorts, etc.
