Firstly, no art is bad art.
Secondly, it’s really hard to tell what you’re shading. It looks like you’re using black/white/transparency (doooooooooooon’t) which might be where the trepidation of your shading comes from.
Look at your banner, the blue of the girl’s dress isn’t a blacker blue, it’s a deeper blue (more blue is used in it), so try that instead of your current shading with (are you using a painting tool? Neat! But it’s not really a substitute for proper shading).
