For some reason I’m beginning to feel Akel’s loneliness over the millennia.

(Specifically the last two episodes. I liked seasons 1 and 2 more.)

(Aye, like putting the minarets on the Hagia Sophia before the Ottomans took over or putting the Eiffel Tower in Paris way too early.)
(*Dino's memory of rough half-century of loneliness, mostly in the woods of Cyrodiil as a smith to avoid Justicar attention, feels bad enough seeping in.*)

(TFW you're an Argonian guardsmen and you hear "Ride of the Valkyries" and then see metal birds shoot fire from their mouths and obliterate the front gate.)

I can’t recall the lore I have in mind for Versilia, but Akeldama has lived since before Rome became noticeable on a map and lived in Europe for at least 75% or so of her life, so she couldn’t draw attention to herself. I reckon she lived isolated in a keep in the Caucasian or Carpathian mountains, wherever would be easier. Also the whole barely aging thing, lack of family, lovers fading like dust in the wind and the impossibility of converting others into vampires. I feel like Akeldama is more broken or tired inside than anything.

(I also heard they're just making stuff up as they go...the director never played a Castlevania game...)

In the last century she’s probably gotten somewhat better since vampires are able to be open, however considering she’s... different and how long she’s lived already I’m not sure how much good it’s done.

(Akel can't resist a good bottle of blood wine)
