RP: A New Movement

It was bound to happen. Whenever war is prevalent among the innumerable masses of ordinary citizens, when families are torn apart, when sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters are slain on the frontlines, unrest slowly begins to spread. From the darkest of times are bred the darkest of hearts, and the darkest of time have ever been breeding grounds for new ideas, new movements, new sects, even new religions. And in these dark times, where war has ravaged the world once again, and continues to ravage it, such a movement has been born.

Orators clothed in black cloaks have begun to pop up in certain nations, preaching on street corners, in comedy clubs, and in fancy restaurants. They preach of everlasting life, of the death of pain and suffering, and of a life where all of the cares of the world cease to matter. They speak fluently in the languages of the nations they preach in, and they ask for nothing, nothing at all, save that those they preach to listen for but a moment. For those that choose to stay and listen, these preachers offer pristine violet crystals that are pleasing to the eye. They say that these crystals will allow you to achieve this perfect form of life. Embedded in each of the preachers' foreheads is a single violet crystal, like the others, though unlike those they hand out, theirs appear to glow faintly in the sunlight, as well as in the darkness of the night.
