Region: The Hole To Hide In

RP: The Eastern Gamble
The crown jewel of eastern Gatisia, control over Ourandois has remained a priority for all sides in the civil war due to it's high population and valuable resources. However for much of the war it's remained under control of the federation with the attempted uprising at the beginning of the war ending in failure. It had been speculated since that the nationalists may make some other play for the province before it's too late, and that play appears to be now. Armand Tiberi, the second governor of the province and the first democratically elected one has returned from exile in Blayredeshia, declaring that the provincial government has failed in it's mission to bring prosperity and liberty to all Ourandoise and has announced he will establish the rival "Nationalist Government of Ourandois" to rectify these failings and will ally with the recently established Augustine Junta. In a play to the residents of the province, Mesny and Marrast have made a joint statement announcing the elevation of the new rival provincial government to co-equals with the NRM and the RoTG, though many theorize this is because the centrist Tiberi isn't a threat to either of their political power. Regardless, the overall positive opinion the residents of the province have of the former governor are sure to complicate affairs in this once socialist stronghold.

RP: Blayredeshian Bombs
The recently begun bombing campaign by the Blayredeshian air-force in Socialist territory has already begun to borne fruit as several key military installations near the capital Therveux reported damage as well as aiding the seizure of the Maximillien Fleuront air base which is an important strategic airfield and of great benefit to the budding nationalist air-force in competing with the federal Gatisian air forces.

RP: Mec Offensive
A large coordinated offensive has begun by the nationalists, targeting the central provinces of Conreac and Haravgny. With the assistance of Blayredeshian air power a swift offensive was put into action seeing large success as they were able to seize large parts of both provinces with a speed that the federal government did not expect. However, the advance has slowed in recent days as street to street fighting in the capital of Conreac and a failed advance north through the Noirfeuil
river in Haravgny proved costly and ineffective. Regardless, the advance has proven a propaganda hit for the government as it's clear now that the nationalists will not be some insignificant threat that can be quashed with ease.

RP: Barthet is out
In therveux, Charles Barthet, the temporary president elected after the assassination of Cazal, has officially been removed from office. The former Cazalite foreign minister was voted out on a 671-300 vote of no-confidance with 29 abstentions which removed him from the office. Many citing his failure during the uprising as proof of his ineptitude and lack of ground for remaining as president. In his place the assembly has elected their first female president, Congresswoman Alicia Carré, to replace him. The deputy leader of Barthet's People's Advancement Party, Carré has promised more democratic reforms in her time in the congress as well as a less ideological foreign policy than her predecessors in a bid to gain greater material support for the federal government. In her inauguration she said that the government will continue to fight the "foreign puppet" nationalists and that the government will see an end to the conflict on their terms though it is not known how her government will aim to achieve this.
