The Cicilian state has just acquired 49% of the shares of the FIAT production plant that opened in 1970 in Termini Imerese near Palermo. The agreement also includes a right of first refusal of a further 2% of the shares, as well as the assurance that the plant may produce models of the FIAT Group under license in the future.
The agreement was allowed by the cartel offices of Alpene and Cicilia.
