One thing that I think is very interesting is the word ”rar” in Swedish and Norwegian. ”Rar” is related to English ”rare” and in Swedish it means ”nice”, but in Norwegian it means ”weird”. So as the two languages diverged the words altered their meaning from ”rare” or ”unique” to ”uniquely weird” and ”uniquely nice”.
