Khartoum, The Republic of Sudan
December, 2023 - French Diaspora V. Sudanese Armed Forces

Sudan had recives tons of bad press and international outrage ever since the official implementation of Operation The Queen's Tounge by the Sudanese Military about a month ago tasked with overseeing the mass deportation of Chadian refugees as well as members of the French Diaspora residing within the borders of Sudan. There was no doubt that Sudan was damaging it's own image with its sudden shift of humanitrainsm. Despite the rise in anti-French sentiment in the country and resentment for francophone nations, the question of the legality of this operation has made its way to the Supreme Court of the Sudanese Republic in which the French Diaspora community of Khartoum has taken legal actions against the Sudanese Armed Forces in the implementation of Operation The Queen's Tongue.

As reasonable the Diaspora represented by Quatir Manilon argued that the Sudanese Government had an obligation to protecting the rights of those fleeing neighbouring countries and have made it on Sudanese soil. Meaning the government cannot allow the military to over turn refugees. They even added that the military cannot persecute citizens based on language and ethnicity.

The Sudanese Military represented by Subair Guap had argued that the Sudanese Constitution only grants those rights to the native languages and ethnicities that reside within the borders of the Sudanese Republic of which French and Chadian isn't one of them. and pushed even further to say that the war in Chad is by far over and so the refugees have overstayed their visit.

As the case would go on, the offical condemnation by the Libyan government towards Sudan as a result of refugees entering Libya, along with the surfucing of recent evidence proving the war in Chad to not yet be over with the threats made against Muslim and Arab Chadians in the Christian controlled Chad and finally the pending MECO human rights investigation has caused the Supreme Court to take steps on the issue.

And so on the last week of 2023, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Sudan has ruled 4-1 in favour of the French Diaspora citing that the Sudanese military and Government cannot and absolutely never discriminate or put the lives of any human being in danger on the basis of Language or ethnicity including those that are not native within the boundaries of the Republic of Sudan. The Supreme Court has ordered for the immediate halt of the mass deportation causing Operation The Queen Tounge to fail and abandoned by the Sudanese military. And given the circumstances of francophobia in Sudan the court had also ruled that the military is obligated to protect those who speak French.

Despite the court rule the Justices have not made no mentions of the immigration policy with Chad as the Sudanese Government still says the border will be closed until a solution of peace between both states could be recognized.
