A small band of democratic rebels based in the virgin territories of New England, supported by native tribes opposed to the communist government, have declared a rival government in a small frontier town at the edges of the territory (in where New York is in real life). This rebel forces calls themselves the Acadian Democratic Union, and at the present they number in the thousands. Their main army is a 1000-strong army with most members being former soldiers under the old democratic government. Their goal is to restore democracy in Acadia, and return Acadia to the constitutional democratic republic it was before the coup and political instability.

The government in Acadia has given these rebels an ultimatum, surrender themselves and only most of them will die, or continue to fight in which case all of them will die.
