The Unified Nations of Felucia wrote:Really? I didn't realize that the poll was no longer up. Anyway, thanks! Honestly, for a time I was actually torn between voting for either Novo or Cybus since Berlin and Santa Catalina are both very fascinating cities that are equally deserving of hosting the Olympics. The primary reason I chose Kaohsiung over Taipei is because it actually has seen some use in sporting events through being the host of the 2009 World Games (an international sporting event that takes place the year following the Olympics and features sports not contested in the more popular event).

Congrats Fel! While I liked all the entries, I voted for you because I felt Formosa would be a neutral enough location to not provoke a major incident at the games (like the 1972 Munich Massacre). Orsonians in particular have a positive opinion on Formosa, so extremist groups from the Empire would be less likely to try something.

Also, you and Novo in the past did allow my airlines to operate a Fort Victorium to Santa Catalina flight before the war as long as it didn't use Novoian or Orsonian airlines.

Ahh, thanks for refreshing my memory on that.

Santa Lucija wrote:Lucija's flag carrier is Aeronaut, founded in 1921. It is a major carrier in the Baltic and Eastern Europe, and operates from hubs in Moscow and St Petersburg, and Vladivostok in the east. It currently has flights to Timmy, Cybus, Orson, Formosa, and Marmara.

Welcome back Lucija! Would Imperial Qantas be allowed to establish a hub in your nation?
