Larson: I don't know if you two have seen recently on the news but there have been protests all over the country, many aspects of daily life are on shutdown. I think the Rajah regime is going to kick the bucket... it's terrible.

Elsa: Terrible I think not. Rajah did good getting rid of the commie government, yes, but he's had his time. He's 70 now, he should give power to the youth to decide their destiny. Most of the people protesting had never grown up in the socialist era....

The word commie would trigger Marko into one of his headaches and all he would be able to hear was a deep, raspy voice speaking in a language he'd recognise as Afrikaans talking about how he'd slaughtered commies in Vietnam, the voice called him son every now & then...

Marko brings a hand to his head, rubbing his temple and cursing slightly.

Marko: All I know, is that this talk is making me remember stuff, because I’m getting a headache hearing you talk about communists. I’m remembering something about Vietnam and communists, that’s all this headache is telling me.

oh that was different

Federated Turkey to produce Nuclear weapons you need OOC permission by either myself or Para (Russia/USSR & United States), such as it is stated in the rules.

Everybody at the table would freeze with their cutlery in hand, staring worriedly.

Elsa: Pigor! Ta med en sval handduk till mannen! (Maids! Bring a cool towel for the man!)

Ah so i guess the footage of him praising the U.S.S.R, Central American Socialists and Cuba are still accurate then.

Marko would lean his head back, actually cursing a bit in Afrikaans, which would sound different to them as opposed to Swedish.

Marko: God verdoem dit maak seer. (God damn it hurts.)

Elsa: Good lord daddy he's started speaking gibberish now!

Gita: No actually I think he might be remembering his language!

Just then a maid would arrive with a cool towel and place it on his head.

Larson: C'mon boy.... stop thinking, take deep breaths and focus on the food.

Marko would hold the towel to his head as he took deep breaths and relaxed himself, chuckling to himself he’d look back down to his food.

Marko: That was something else, let me tell ya. Talk about having a head rush of a lifetime.

Larson: It's okay, it's okay... try not to think too hard you've only just got out of hospital give it time.

Gita: You poor man...

Gita stared concerned at Marko, while Elsa carried on eating.

Larson: I get it, you wanna get back in the army soon as you can, yes, but the sooner you get your memory back the more useful you'll be.

Gita: Um, Marko... how about we go to the city and explore it together?

Larson: Do you even remember how to get around Port Morstad?

Gita: We'll just use the driver... please dad can we?

Larson: Fine, but Elsa must go along with you.

Gita: Why!?

Elsa: But daddy I-

Larson gave them both a stern look, his eyes looking like an inferno... they'd both quieten down and continue eating.

Larson: Hear that Marko, tomorrow you go out with my daughters. It's settled.

Marko: I can already tell my time staying with you is gonna be interesting, if this is any indication.

Once dinner was done, Larson would stand up.

Larson: It was lovely seeing you again my daughters. I'm going to be leaving now for the temple, I'll be back soon. As for you Marko, don't worry you're in good hands.

Elsa & Gita would wave as Larson left. Now, there were three at the table.

Bomoko wrote:CHAMPONG TODAY: POLITICS, ECONOMY, SOCIETY

POLITICS

Since 1990 when the military of Champong booted out the Soviet-backed socialist regime of Chairman Manilo, the country has been ruled by the coup leader, Captain Rajah. Upon entering power, Rajah established a military council that has ruled the country with an iron-fist, even so, the charismatic leader's authority has been fading in recent years. Despite being popular among the generations of Champese who grew up under socialism, the 70 year old dictator has fallen out of favour with younger generations of Champong. Across Champong, mass protests have been taking place with many Champese demanding a civilian government. Many of these young protesters are led by Laila Chan, a 25 year old former lawyer turned activist who upon returning from the US Paramountica has begun demanding Captain Rajah hand over power to the people.

ECONOMY

In 1990, the Rajah-led military junta gradually begun reversing the policies of the previous socialist regime. Since then, private enterprise was re-introduced into the Champese economy, with relations opening up to Western countries and the foundation of a domestic stock exchange, wide-scale investment into the Champese economy and private sector has led to economic growth taking place at an average annual rate of 6.2% since 2000, making Champong one of Southeast Asia's fastest growing economies. Since the liberalisation of Champong's economy, huge capital has been raised to launch numerous infrastructure projects such as new highways, railways etc. Even so, government spending on education and healthcare has dropped significantly in the past 10 years resulting in recent strikes that have called the potential of the Champese economy into question. Many experts argue if the massive wave of protests doesn't stop soon, Champong's economy may experience a crash.

SOCIETY

Under the socialist regime of the past, Champese information was strictly censored to pro-government media & information only for the consumption of the masses. However, under the Rajah military regime, despite the military holding total power and instituting a series of repressive laws to maintain iron fist control on power, the country has been at its most free in history. Many libraries across the country have finally begun to gain access to Western books and journals on ideals such as Ermanism from Germany Bayern kahla among others, in addition, many private news agencies have been given permits to operate whereas prior to 2005 they had to operate underground. Even so, the freedom of information has led to more criticism of the Rajah regime and the lack of personal freedoms in many regions of the country. For instance, in the east, many Melanesian minorities have been subject to martial law with curfews, and Christians who form less than 10% of the country's population, have regularly complained about persecution. Champese society has also been named one of the most unequal societies on earth with the rich to poor income disparity being huge. These social issues have been a key contributing factor to the mass protests taking place across the country.

I can already imagine students and intellectuals picking books about Ermanism in libraries and looking and debating whether it has done good or not or whether Europe needs something else. :3

This play is far more turning about family and women in power than about Scottish independence, though its real fun to write what an English Queen and a Scottish Queen have to say about new Scottish independence, to quote Queen Joan of Scotland from my play "They will lose yet another fight. And maybe for the better. Another lost fight might finally give them a hint that they don't need independence."
