Oh boy. The PM debate took place today at 1:45 PM (BST), 8:45AM(EST)
- a little behind schedule but it worked out. Questions were being
thrown around on #firepit (CK Discord Channel) followed by long
blocks of answers from both candiates. It was certainly one of the most
interesting debate I had watched.
For those who were not on Discord and missed the whole thing the
transcript can be found here. Read it over more than once as it can
decide who you are voting for. Unfortunately Brytavia nor FinalDelta
were not present for the debate.
Finally for those of you asking how they will get to vote. On the 1st
October I will send a telegram to you containing a ballot of the
participant. From then you will have until the 7th of October giving
you enough time to think it through.
🎤 What made you decide to run for PM?
Dyrland: Well, if I'm being honest, and no offence to the people running, I didn't really see much competency in the candidates. But, it was more of a spur of the moment thing. I've always wanted to try running for a government position, so I'm just seeing how I do. If I lose, it's fine, I'll get experience out of it.
🎤 Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
Dyrland: I joined Conch Kingdom late March, about the time when the Drewpocalypse was at it's all-time-high. Since then I've more or less just been lurking in the shadows of CK politics and RP, but I've been a part of some major things. The UFT, for example. I co-founded it with El Blurkistan, and since we started, we've gained more than 13 members. I'm quite proud of that. Other than that, I enjoy music, video games, and reading.
🎤 What will be your main goal if you win the election?
Dyrland: My main goal is to sort out RP in Conch Kingdom. I personally think that as of now, RP is quite stale and needs some adjustments. For example, the rules for RPing aren't very detailed, and can be hard to understand for new players. As well as this, Conch Kingdom RP has a lot of warring, and not a lot of helping. Making a worldwide event to encourage friendship and cooperation would do CK RP good.
🎤 You said you joined due to a lack of competition. How do you feel about Balan Bar's candidacy announcement?
Dyrland: I'm honestly a little scared. Most people seem to see the surface level things, and will vote for Balan Bar because they're a veteran. However, they have yet to announce any changes to anything besides government positions and the Conch Creed. CK needs some revision to specific things, and I doubt that Balan Bar will change them, at all. Overall, I'm still quite confident in myself to win the elections.
🎤 How do you feel about the candidates for the other minister positions?
Dyrland: I'm confident that they would all do an excellent job in their positions. I'm quite biased towards Socialist Platypus, though. He's a good friend of mine.
🎤 You've outlined many domestic affair goals, what are your intentions on foreign affairs?
Dyrland: I feel that our foreign affairs need not be meddled with as of now. But, if there is a problem, then it is the Minister of Foreign Affairs job to fix it. Foreign affairs aren't exactly my expertise, as well.
🎤 Any final thoughts?
Dyrland: Well, hm. There needs to be more cross endorsing! And the Conch Kingdom RP region should be used more, that is one of my focuses. Thank you for this interview.

Right so it has been a slow week in RP but we have had some interesting
things here and there.
- Shiya opens up the nation with a splendid RP post in the city of Arcadia.
It looks like if the nation is currently under Aelandian control but the some
citizens living there clearly doesn't like the life. This is quickly followed by a
war post on the border of Supero Omnia as Shiyan troops exchanged fire
with Supero Omnians with a raging battle.
- Austerland (Hill Billy) falls into a civil war! We know that it is taking
place in the south of Claitland (terriorty of Hill Billy) followed by major
protests breaking out in the capital of Reingard.
The riots have gotten bigger as a military base was completely caught off
guard at 7:05 PMand was taken over groups of 20 carrying military
equipment and heavy ballistics through the forest of Chadder.
We will keep you updated with other important RP news that the
following week, but for now Conch RP Services is signing off.
🎤 Hello Balan, what made you run for prime minister and why so close to elections?
Balan Bar: As people started to announce their intention to run, I didn't see anyone that had the experience need for this position. Their campaign gave vague promises and new position that I have seen in the past that had failed. I was going to announce this sooner, but others had joined the campaign that I felt would do a great job, but have since dropped out.
🎤 Would you tell us a bit about yourself for the newer people to the region?
Balan Bar: I started this game in September of 2016 after stumbling unit as I started to get very interested in the United Nations IRL. Conch Kingdom has been my first and only region with a few puppet being made, but I didn't really care for puppets so they have all CTE. My interest in the UN and her treaties translated in the intreat in treaties, law, government document here in Nationstates. I've help write one constitution and wrote our current with the help of people. I've also help Tulov with the creation of the old court system as well as looking over a treaty he was forming with The South Pacific.
🎤 What is going to be the most important objective if you win the election?
Balan Bar: Well I hope that being in the for front, newer people can come to me for guidance to further their understanding of the government and what has work and has not. Many it seem to me think you need to be in government to achieve great thing and this is not true at all.
🎤 You've outlined many domestic affairs goals in your dispatch. What are you planning on doing for foreign affairs?
Balan Bar: I have spoken to the Editor of The Conch Time and have asked if a second page could be draw up with news from other region like I did what I was the Lead Diplomat. This would bring in a wealth of knowledge to our members on what is happening outside of out region and things they can do in these region. I don't have a problem with our current embassy policy and would be ok with the next MoFA continuing with it, but would not be opposed to a new one being formed.
🎤 How do you feel about the candidates for the other minister positions?
Balan Bar: I have worked with Suvmia in the United Regions Alliance and am confident that his expertise in for affairs will greatly benefit Conch Kingdom. As for Socialist Platypus, I think his work in the RP community will be beneficial when it comes to planning events for the Kingdom and when needed, working with the MoFA to plan interregional events.
