France's Macron backs 5G technology over 'the Amish model'

    | Paris - "France is the country of innovation... We are going to put to rest all false ideas," Macron told entrepreneurs at a gathering of French tech start-ups at the Elysée Palace.

"I hear a lot of voices being raised to explain to us that the complexity of contemporary problems should be addressed by going back to the oil lamp. I don't believe that the Amish model can solve the challenges of contemporary ecology," Macron joked, referring to the American community which is suspicious of technology.

Nearly 70 left-wing elected officials and environmentalists called Sunday for a moratorium on 5G technology, which is due to be rolled out in France at the end of the month.

5G networks are touted as promising an exponential leap in the amount and speed of wireless data, enabling advances in self-driving vehicles, virtual reality, connected health and more as sensors and servers communicate instantly. But the technology has come under scrutiny, and officials have called for more studies on the environmental and health impacts of its infrastructure.

On Monday, Macron said Europe had "lost" the global battle in cloud computing but should nevertheless resume the fight. "If we want our ecosystem to be sustainable, it has to be sovereign," Macron said, reiterating that Europe should not rely "on any non-European power" for data security and 5G.

US giants Amazon, Microsoft and Google dominate the worldwide cloud computing business, with a combined market share of around 60 percent.

Macron's comments followed the announcement earlier on Monday of a partnership between Deutsche Telekom and French cloud services provider OVHcloud that aims to build a new cloud computing offer for European companies and public sector entities deemed of strategic importance.

Tsipras at the EU summit in August

Euro Referendum Resumes

ATHENS - Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras today announced, following a significant drop in the number of Coronavirus cases being reported, that it was now safe for the Referendum on Greek usage of the Euro, dubbed the “Eurexit Referendum,” can be resumed, setting out a new timetable in Parliament in the last few hours. Under this new timetable, the referendum will be held on the 5th December 2020, with the official campaigning period starting immediately.
The campaign had barely begun in March 2020 where a surge in Coronavirus cases caused the Referendum to be indefinitely postponed via an executive decree of the King, after being proposed by Tsipras. The referendum was one of the key promises in Syriza’s 2019 campaign and was the centre of the merger of MeRA25 deal in late 2018. In his speech to Parliament, the Prime Minister today said his government was “proud to announce, having got Coronavirus cases to safe levels, citizens will now be able to exercise their democratic right.” Critics have accused Tsipras, who is in favour of remaining in the Eurozone, of dragging his feet on the issue, arguing that a timetable could have been introduced earlier in the year.

The bill enters the parliament tomorrow, and is widely expected to pass, having support from both Syriza, the Communist Party of Greece, and Greek Solution, though the referendum has consistently encountered protest from the more pro-European main opposition party, the National Radical Union, and the centrist coalition. There is also some minor dissent expected from the more Europhilic sections on the governments, who were disappointed with MeRA merger two years ago. King Constantine has stated that we would not block the bill, arguing “it would be wrong of me to stop any democratic process.”

The “Yes” campaign is widely expected to be headed by Tsipras himself along with opposition head Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and PASOK leader Fofi Gennimata, billed as a “national unity” campaign. Syriza has not taken a position as a party, however, and former finance minister and MeRA25 leader Yannis Varoufakis, is hoped by some to lead the “No” campaign, having been backed by KKE leader Aleka Papariga. Varoufakis has repeatedly stated that Greek Solution and Golden Dawn, the two main parties of the right of the political spectrum, would not be welcome on the campaign, leading to speculation over a split “Eurexit” campaign. Syriza Unveils New Logo

The New logo features the tagline "Progressive Alliance"

ATHENS - The ruling Coalition of the Radical Left, commonly abbrieviated to Syriza, on Tuesday announced the results of a competition to design a new logo for the party, at a public meeting in the party headquarters. The New Logo, which features a star made out of an S and a Y as the new main emblem, will replace the one used since 2006, which critics had described as “outdated.” Upon revealing the symbol, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras stated, “progressive and European Greece” to join its ranks.

“This star is for everyone. Today a broad alliance of every citizen that envisions a just and progressive Greece of the new era comes to put this vision into action. SYRIZA takes a step into the future, a future for everyone.” The new emblem is said to be a symbol of unity, at a time when the party is fractured over the upcoming Eurexit referendum. More follows…

Maguire in May 2019
Greek Courts will “not let Maguire off lightly”

VASILIKO – Judge Agape Archili QC has today stated that Greek courts will uphold “civility and the rule of law.” Ahead of the sentencing of English footballer Harry Maguire ahead of his sentencing on convictions of Physical and Verbal Assault, as well as, Bribery of a Police officer. In her summative assessment of the case, Judge Archili stated Maguire acted “violently and improperly,” and “failed the country he was supposed to represent.” The Manchester United captain and England Striker, was said to have assaulted two Albanian tourists in a drunken brawl on the Isle of Vasiliko in July. Prosecutors further claimed he and 2 friends then swore at the police, before attempting to bribe them, with Maguire saying "Do you know who I am? I am the captain of Manchester United, I am very rich, I can give you money, I can pay you, please let us go."

Maguire has denied all charges, stating that he acted in sekf defence after his sister was stabbed with a cocktail stick by the men. He further claimed that despite being injured and requesting to go to the hospital, Maguire was instead taken to the station where he was beaten up. However, officers found those claims to be unsubstainiated, and he was convicted last week of all 3 charges. The court case has already led Maguire to miss the beginning of English qualifications for the World Cup, and any penal could make him unavailable for much of the season. More follows…

'Cuties' banned from French Netflix services

    | Paris - The upcoming Netflix show Cuties has sparked controversies and backlash throughout the internet domain. Directed by Maïmouna Doucouré, the French show had received major international backlash from all angles, and for a good cause. The movie in its entirety sexualize young girls, of which they are only 11 of age. And many pointed out the show as a 'pedophilia paradise'. Several questionable scenes are visible, and worse yet, the show is rated as TV-MA, with young girls starring it. While the show is made by a French-Senegalese director, most French wouldn't even agree on such terms, and even began pointing her out as a 'pedo breeder' and other nicknames too many to mention.

Emmanuel Macron himself added that 'The show is nothing less than an embarrassment to French prestige' and mentioned that he will ban the show entirely from France, despite it being a French show. Furthermore, there has been rumors circling around that the director, might potentially lose its citizenship, although this has been confirmed as nothing more than a rumor.

Subsequently, Netflix received further backlash from both the internet and the French people, as many begin to question why such show is even allowed on a major streaming services. Proposals to permanently or temporarily ban Netflix has been floating around, but the French parliament had refused to do such thing. But in the end, no actions has been taken by Netflix to shut the show down entirely, and many began to question Netflix's decision.

PRIME MINISTER HAS ADRESSED THE NATION REGARDING THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZATION OF YUGOSLAVIAN ACTIONS IN SAHURIA

This morning, Prime Minister Balša Božović has addressed the nation, after last night's National Assembly vote that has authorized the actions of the JNA in Sahuria. Here's what he said:

"Good morning,

Yesterday, National Assembly of Yugoslavia has voted in favor of authorization of Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) actions in Sahuria, primarily focused on fight against the terrorism in southern part of the country. As I've already said multiple times, from the beginning we've had presidential authorization for the operation Eyes Opener, but the vote of the National Assembly gives us another sphere of legitimacy. Moreover, it legalized potential ground and naval actions in case of need, which we currently do not intend to launch, but neither do we exclude them in case of further escalation of the conflict. Currently, our actions are going well and we have conducted about ten targeted airstrikes against the ISIS positions in Sahuria, last one taking place one hour ago. Not a single drone of ours has been shot.

Before I finish, I would also like to mention President Konstantinović's visit to China and its consequences for the Sahurian conflict. As you already know, China is a state involved in Sahurian conflict, taking actions in areas close to ones where we're already conducting the airstrikes for a week already. They're doing so in assistance with Iraqis, who have in the last few months showed clear signs of animosity towards the Europe. However, we have acted pragmatically like we always do, and an important memorandum has been signed between Yugoslavia and China, enabling us to coordinate actions in named region of Sahuria. It doesn't involve Iraq and it doesn't involve anything that might be interpreted as a violation of the EDU interests in both Sahuria and in more universal terms. We remain committed to the EDU principles and interests, while minimizing the chances of potential accidents taking place in crowded areas of Sahuria. We shall continue with the operation Eyes Opener until our goal of erasing the ISIS presence in Sahuria is completed.

Thank you and God bless you all."

Container ship Ratu Kedati mysteriously sinks in the South China Sea; PLAN on the blame

    | Jakarta - At 05:00 AM, the container ship Ratu Kedati departs the glooming light of Jakarta and heads north towards Tokyo, Japan. The vessel made several contacts to nearby corresponding port throughout its path, and made its last contact to Kota Kinabalu. The Argo-class container ship was carrying furnitures, a car, forty-four wide screen TV and other goods which remain unidentified. The ship was last seen between Vietnam and and the highly disputed area of the Spratly Islands. It was however, last detected through the radars of the Indonesian frigate KRI Martadinata, who was stationed near the Spratly Islands on a regular high seas patrol.

Around 08:30, the ship made a distress call to three different area, first to Ho Chi Minh at 08:34, Palawan at 08:59, and Kota Kinabalu at 09:12. Only Palawan responded, but was already too late as the ship was supposedly sunk. The ship's sinking however became a new source of controversy, as many began to question the perpetrator of such horrendous act. The National Transportation Safety Commission (NTSC) had assessed two possibilities of the ship's sinking, collision or a possible attack on the ship by a foreign or even domestic vessel. Currently, 45 crewmates and 1 officer survived, and is currently being interrogated at Kuching, Sarawak, whereas the officer, badly injured, is unable to give out any statement regarding the incident.

Now, earlier, the NTSC had decided two possible outcome which resulted in the ship's sinking, first, collision and second, the deliberate act of sinking. The first one seems plausible, as the ship may have ran into a coral reef, but, the ship was sailing on a relatively deep water, and is no where near a coral environment. The first theory is ruled out, that leaves the second, the deliberate act of sinking. The act of sinking could be divided into three different sub-theories, first deliberate explosion perpetrated by the crewmates as an act of mutiny, second, sinking by a foreign vessel, and third, sinking by a domestic vessel, possibly a rouge ship which were hijacked. The third sub-theory was ruled out as there were no case of a ship hijacking by any means, the first sub-theory seems possible, but the relations between the crewmate and the officers were stable at large, leaving only the second sub-theory.

If any foreign vessel did in fact sank Ratu Kedati, which nation is responsible then? The ship, being close to Vietnamese shore might as well be sunk by a Vietnamese vessel, but during the interrogation, one the crewmates, Esad Rahmudi mentioned that "Ratu Kedati wasn't sunk by a surface vessel. As far as I'm concerned, it was sunk by a submarine as moments before the ship went down, a black mass, and if I recall it, had a length between 76 to 77 m." The submarine he mentioned, had a the same length as a Chinese Type 039A submarine, which were often seen multiple times patrolling the South China Sea. No further confirmation came from Esad regarding the "submarine" in mention, and so one could only hope the sinking was nothing more than an accident by the submarine possibly mistaking it for a hostile vessel.

NTSC's director, Agung Sanjaya added, "It has been ruled out that the incident is a deliberate act of sinking by a Chinese submarine, although a verification of this theory is paramount, as we are currently working 24/7 to confirm and back this theory".

German-union

Should Germany strive for Great Power?

Economically the unified Germany is the largest in Europe, and stands 4th worldwide. The unification of Prussia, Rhineland, Saxony, Bavaria and Austria in 1997 would shift the European power balance westward permanently, coinciding with Russias decline, Europe has never been so tranquil. So that raises the question, why does Germany not seek Great Power status? The country already has the 3rd largest defense spending budget in the world, an armed forces that could go toe-to-toe with the Russians, and the obvious diplomatic weight that Berlin wields. It very well has the tool to define global events, but it chooses not to.

This is undoubtedly due to a phobia of conflict within Germany, immediately after the most devastating conflict in history, Germany would be split between four states that were all essentially puppets of the Western and Eastern camps of the Cold War. So there was always the fear that these four states would fight amongst themselves to appease their respective alliances; thankfully it never occurred, but the Cold War was most definitely a large enough conflict that the agreement of non-aggression between the four states could have been violated and Bavaria could very well have gone to war with Prussia. But the four states were meant to be a buffer zone, left to its own devices. Legally all four states were free to do anything of themselves so long as it was not in direct violation of the four countries neutrality. All four states would develop very capable armed forces, and upon the unification of the German state, alongside Austria; Germany would easily become Europe largest and most capable defense force. Even obtaining a sizeable nuclear arsenal through Rhineland, which developed the weapons secretly until announced in 1968.

Germany has the tools to become a major global player. And it should.

The events that occur in the Middle East, Asia and Africa have started to shape the politics of Europe, and the internal affairs of Germany. Instability in these regions lead to economic uncertainty in Europe, and most importantly instigates a domino effect of anarchy. Berlin can shape the affairs of the world, and with the Americans being unable to work with Europe, or the Russians constantly threatening Europe, despite lacking the economic incentive to do so, the world requires a third pole of influence. One that is ran and controlled, by the largest economy in the world. Europe. But the problem lies with trusting Germany's vast resources in states that do not share the same values of the German state. Many of its supposed allies and neighbours, have gone to great lengths ensuring that Berlin does not wield the power to play a major role in determining the defense of the continent. Fortunately many of these belligerent allies, have long been ousted, due in part to their inability to lead or even coherently run the very international institutions they sought to protect. Weak and ignorant. Germany will require to work with its allies, some old, and some newly forged. It should act with the integrity of being one of the worlds largest economies.

A few days ago, Germany had acquired the right to operate several facilities in Cyprus, the facility of the township of Akrotiri, will be transferred to the operation and maintenance of the German Armed Forces. Giving Berlin unparalleled access to the Middle East. The facility that has been renamed Abdülhamit-Wilhem, will allow Germany to protect its interests in the European border with Africa and the Middle East, as well as allow Germany to play a more significant role in securing the sovereignty of Israel. The purchase of the facility will also mark a significant turn in German-Turkish relations, as Germany would be the first foreign country to install military facilities within Turkey, and honour that is recognised greatly by the Berlin government.

The base will have a permanent stationing of:

Pogacar poised for Tour de France glory after stunning Roglic in surprise turnaround

    | Paris - Yugoslavia's Tadej Pogacar pulled off a major upset at the Tour de France by stunning compatriot Primoz Roglic to claim the overall leader’s yellow jersey with a monumental victory in the final individual time trial on Saturday. The 21-year-old won the 36.2-km solo effort against the clock as Roglic, who had started the day with a 57-second lead in the general classification, cracked in the uphill section, a 5.9-km climb at an average gradient of 8.5%.

"I don't know what to say, it's a dream," said Pogacar, who now leads second-placed Roglic by 59 seconds ahead of Sunday’s final stage, a largely processional ride to the Champs Élysees in Paris where only the final sprint is contested. "Getting the yellow jersey on the final day, we were dreaming of it since the start. I knew every corner on the road, thanks to the work of my team.

"I think that my head is going to explode."

Pogacar, who is set to become the youngest winner of the Tour since Henri Cornet in 1904, clocked 55 minutes 55 seconds - the perfection of the numbers matching his performance.

Roglic only took fifth place, 1:56 off the pace after what appeared to be a cautious start turned into a major meltdown.

The 30-year-old, who had controlled the whole race with his dominant Jumbo-Visma team, imploded on the climb and crossed the line with a livid face before sitting down on the road.

A raw talent who holds no fear, Pogacar, who celebrates his 22nd birthday on Monday, now holds three distinctive jerseys - the yellow, the white jersey for the best Under-25 rider and the polka dot jersey for the mountains classification. The upset echoes that of the last day of the 1989 Tour de France when American Greg LeMond won the race by eight seconds over France's Laurent Fignon after starting the time-trial 50 seconds off the pace.

There was another major change on Saturday as Australian Richie Porte leapfrogged Colombian Miguel Angel Lopez into third place overall by finishing the 20th stage in third spot. After losing all hope of overall victory following a crash in the opening stage, Frenchman Thibaut Pinot rode through impressive crowds and smoke in his hometown of Melisey, where the roads had his name and that of his goat Kim painted all over them, adding to the sense of surrealism on the day.

THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY UNDER ANTHRAX LETTER ATTACK FOR A SECOND TIME IN A YEAR

For a second time this year, the National Assembly has received the poisoned letter this morning. It has been addressed to the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, and reportedly poisoned with the anthrax powder. The only victim of the attack is I.A. (27), secretary of the Deputy Speaker, who opened the letter while he was absent and got herself covered with powder after the letter was opened. The National Assembly has released the statement that she has been hospitalized and that she's currently stable, but that she will remain in the Military Medicine Academy (VMA) for further health controls. No one else has been in touch with the poison and currently Special Police Force and BIA agents have closed the building, closing all the MPs who were present in the building in the moments of attack into their offices. Deputy Speaker's office and surrounding halls and offices are covered in the protective nylon, so that terrain examination and safe removal of the anthrax substance can be completed successfully.

It is expected that the situation will normalize up to 18h, when the President is to depart from the Zoran Đinđić International Airport to New York, to attend the OUN GA session. Currently, President of Yugoslavia Kristijan Konstantinović, Prime Minister of Yugoslavia Balša Božović and all other government Ministers are located in Dedinje hill presidential bunker, designed for this kind of situations. They are safely provided with food and drinks, and also with secured telephone connection and fast internet network. Bunker is under heavy security protection, with temporary ban of air travel over it, and the only person who's in touch with the public via press is BIA Director Vladimir Beba Popović, who updates the press from the press room of the Palace of Federation, official residence and the workplace of the President of Yugoslavia.

While it remains unclear who's behind the attacks, BIA is actively working in tracing the attackers, and it is speculated that the ISIS might stand behind the attack. Letter itself doesn't tell much, because it was a blank paper without a typical message for this situation. Being the second attack of this kind in less than a year, it opens serious questions about the adequacy of the present security levels and possible need for update of the methods so that the National Assembly staff is better protected from this kind of attacks. One person away from the primary target of attack - the Deputy Speaker - seems to be far too close and analysts are speculating what might had happened if the target was the Prime Minister himself and if he was, unlike the Deputy Speaker, close to the secretary when she was opening the letter. Currently, the only thing we have is BIA Director Popović assurances that BIA will take the situation seriously and work to effectively protect the state officials from any sort of attack.

    | ROME — After nearly a week of negotiations neither the government nor the opposition have come to an agreement over the 2021 fiscal budget. With a vote pending tomorrow on Tuesday it’s likely the bill will again fail in parliament which many assume will prompt the president to call for early voting. Matteo Renzi, the former prime minister and leader of the Forza centre right party, and the Opposition Leader Giuseppe Conte have called the government unable to perform its duties. Protests in Rome have been bubbling over for the past few days calling for the Prime Minister to resign especially among younger voters citing the terrible social freedoms record of the party and populist rhetoric that has plagued the right wing agenda and political history within the country post-Mussolini. Prime Minister Tortellini has an approval rating of 39% and has ranked his party the lowest out of all the major political parties within government for their poor approach to a very sensitive issue. Spokeswoman for the President, Theresa Russo has informed the press that President Mattarella will address the nation tonight on the ongoing political gridlock within Italy’s government.|

    | ROME LIVE ADDRESS FROM THE PRESIDENTIAL PALACE—

      To my countrymen,

As president it is my constitutional duty to uphold the constitution and the integrity of the legislative body. The people in 2018 have elected a government for which they believe will uphold their values and represent the interest of them domestically and abroad. Given the recent political climate in our country, it has come to my attention that the current government is inadequate to carry out simple fiscal responsibility for the upcoming year. Anger from the public for weeks, and weeks of government inaction in Rome I have consulted both the President of the Senate and the President of the Chamber of Deputies that as President of the Italian Republic I request the resignation of the current cabinet headed by the President of Council Stefano Tortellini, and call for the dissolvement of parliament noon tomorrow, and wish to see an election made as soon as possible. This isn’t the first time a president has dissolved the government, matter of fact this is my second time doing so which resulted in the current cabinet taking power in 2018. I strongly urge the Italian people to use their voice in this upcoming election, and I encourage all Italians to vote in this upcoming election. Passing fiscal policy must be the most important agenda for the new government whomever it may be. Thank you, and viva l'italia!|

President Meral Akşener addresses the 75th United Nations General Assembly

“I salute you all from around the world with the utmost respect on behalf of myself, and the Turkish nation. It is refreshing to see the world unified under one roof, rather than divided. First I want to take my fellow countrymen Volkan Bozkır for being elected as the next President of the UN General Assembly. I also thank the current President Tijjani Muhammad-Bande on the work he has done to help move this organization. Together, we have shown that we can do much more united, than we can divide. This year crisis after crisis we should who we really are as one planet in the face of evil. May it be Daesh, or the plague of death known Covid-19. The international effort allowed us to wipe this plague out by the end of June. We thought that the worst disaster of the year was over, but it sadly was not. Following the 2020 Olympics in İstanbul, forces of evil launched the single deadliest terrorist attack in history. The bloodshed caused by the Kadıköy Bombings, that ripped away 3,609 of our citizens, did not go unnoticed by the international community. Just as we had come together to conquer the plague that was Covid-19, the world rallied against the forces of Daesh. And together, it is without a shadow of doubt that we will wipe out Daesh and its allies once and for all. Once again will the Sahuri people enjoy the basic and fundamental right to be safe in Sahuristan. And let us be clear, this cause we have set ourselves to follow will not be abandoned. Not by us, nor by the Free Sahuri Authority.

Sahuristan was once a nation in the Levant that was one of prosperity, economic success, stability, and a model for its neighbors to follow. But since 2001 when the first Sahuri Civil War began, and the Islamic Republic came to power. A page of darkness was written into the nation's history. Today Daesh has resurfaced, Al-Nusra continues to expand, and external forces continue to try and rip apart Sahuristan. But the actions of Turkey in Operation Süleyman Şah have pushed Daesh out of Northern Sahuristan, and soon the great city of Aleppo will be liberated from Daesh. With our Libyan brothers, we will soon be beginning Operation Mehmet V against Daesh that is currently occupying parts of Libya. Together by the end of year, we will ensure that a second Kadıköy Bombing can never take place.

In January when the plague known as Covid-19 began to spread across the world, we all had different approaches on how we fight this virus. Turkey became one of the first nations to completely lockdown its borders, and transition into a war time economy in order to combat this unprecedented effort allowing us to save millions. Not just in Turkey, but around the world. Beginning on the 9th of April, thousands of packages of Covid Relief were shipped to our Iranian brothers, which the plague was ransacking. In no time, they were back on their feet. Over 100 nations, everyone who requested it, got more than they could ask for in Covid Relief. In the medical field, the brightest minds came together in an unprecedented effort to wipe the plague off of our planet. In just six months, the vaccine had been distrubed around the world, and the plague is now over. The 2020 Olympics in İstanbul went ahead as planned, nothing short of a celebration to the global effort against the plague, and how far we can come when we work together for a common objective.

The incredible work we have done this year in East Turkistan with the Chinese government is unquestionably one of this year's greatest achievements. No longer the false name of Xinjiang defines the people of East Turkistan, instead our Uyghur brothers will finally be able to openly and freely call the home they have known since the dawn of time Uyghuristan. The efforts of China to undo its past wrongs has not gone unnoticed by the Turkic World, and we welcome it with open arms. The Uyghur culture, language, and Islamic faith must be protected at all costs. And we will make sure it is protected, regardless of what it means. As a nation, we do not turn on a cause we have set out on. We were the first to answer the call to defend Korea from this organization, and we are still fighting the just cause against the madmen of Pyongyang. We are just as committed as our Sahuri brothers to see a free and successful Sahuristan as they are. We are just as committed as our Libyan brothers in the war against Daesh. Together we will succeed through cooperation, and the betterment of all people. And we wish we could do much more with all the nations to make the world we inherited from the past generation into a better and safer one for the next.

However, to reach such a reality . The majority of the world today does not enjoy the simple and basic principles of freedom, justice, democracy. The world continues to face unprecedented levels of terror, and the irreversible damages of climate change. The equality between men and women in most of the world still remains a noble concept. The failure of the World Health Organization, and this very organization to combat the plague that was Covid-19 shows the sad situation we are in. Yet, this organization was built in the ashes of the Second World War to eradicate these very injustices. That never became the reality. It is clear every passing year that all of us gather in the halls of this assembly, that the United Nations is gradually losing its ability to find lasting solutions against terrorism, hunger, misery, climate change, and poverty. Instead, it has created an unacceptable order in which one part of the world lives in nothing but luxury, while the other side suffers in poverty, misery, terror and illiteracy in order to sustain this order. This is unacceptable to us. While just a small percentage of the world population can sit and debate issues like digital technology rights, robotics, artificial intelligence and signs on bathrooms. Instead billions struggle living far under the poverty line, and billions more have work on farms for their whole lives but their breath smells from hunger.

One of the largest reasons behind this is the failure of these institutions, which have been given enormous decision making power. The world must make it clear that the fate of humanity cannot be squeezed between the lips of two nations. The world is bigger than five. It is long overdue that we change our current mentality around this organization, and move to change how this institution works, and its rules. The inequality between nuclear weapon states and non-nuclear weapon states is alone enough to undermine the global balances. While every nation is today surrendered by nuclear powers which can destroy the planet within the blink of an eye, any nation which seeks to defend itself by developing nuclear weapons is punished at the highest degree. In every crisis these nations threaten the total destruction, and elimination of their opponents if they do not get what they want. The possession of nuclear power should either be forbidden for all permissible for everyone to use. For a peaceful future, let us solve this problem together as soon as possible.

First and foremost, we must strengthen the United Nations capability and efficiency. In particular we must reform the Security Council to be inlined with justice and equity. With an active and humane foreign policy, Turkey embraces all the world and humanity, and strives more than any other to fight these problems. Turkey leads the world in refugee efforts, humanitarian aid, and in Covid Relief. We once again invite all countries present in this Hall to support our policies and initiatives which we have formulated on the basic justice, and ethics that are needed to uplift the oppressed people of the world.

Turkey currently leads in the Middle East, North Africa, and in East Asia in peace. The support we have given to our brothers in Korea against the Northern Korea Occupier Administration has put the madman of Pyongyang on notice. The failure of NATO in Libya did not stop Turkey from working with our Libyan brothers to create a new and stable Libya, and together we will wipe Daesh out of the nation. Finally returning a sense of normalcy to Libya. In Sahuristan we led in the global effort against Daesh, and we will continue this fight until freedom is achieved for all of Sahuristan. Turkey has been at the forefront of peace in the Middle East by taking an approach that is now being adopted across the region. The Arab world is slowly waking up to the reality that is the existence of Israel. Since the founding of Israel, we have worked closely with them to ensure the safety and security of both nations. And in a week from now, Turkey will become the first Muslim majority nation to open its embassy in the Israeli capital of Jersualem.

In a world that is just now slowly recovering from the disastrous Treaties of Versailles, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Trianon, and Sevres. We stand in a unique historic moment in which we can transform the world order forever. Together we can reform the disaster of the United Nations Security Council, do away with the unfair veto, and permanent nation status. We should no longer allow our peoples future to be squeezed between the lips of just five nations. The nations of Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia have been left out of the bargain for far too long. It is our nations that give these organizations any sense of legitimacy, yet it is our nations that suffer the most at its hands. It makes us ponder why do we not reform this organization, and if it fails to reform. We are more than capable of creating a new, and better organization to fit the demands of the world we face. Not an organization to hold together a post war order of nations. The world is changing rapidly, and we must adapt with the times. Peace at home, and peace in the world is within the horizon of possibility. But it is the joint global effort that can only achieve this. The same joint effort we showed in the defeat of Covid-19, and in the joint effort against Daesh. We must show a joint effort to restore and rebuild the United Nations, and international organizations that have failed to work for the nations for the world. Or else the simple truth will continue to remain true. It is nationalism, not globalism that leads us forward. The simple bargain that guaranteed each nation by joining this organization would be granted an equal say, and an equal voice has proven time and time again to be incorrect.

It is without a shadow of a doubt that we are in a new reality, a new normal, in which we can work together on an equal playing field for the betterment of all of our people. I would like to conclude my remarks with the following wishes.

As our Eternal President put it best ‘We work for peace at home, peace in the world’. To ensure peace can become the reality of our world, we must ensure stability for all.

Freedom for all, peace for all, prosperity for all, justice for all, peaceful and safe future for all!

I wish the work of the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly to be the success of a new and fair future for all. I greet you all with utmost respect on behalf of myself and my country. Thank you.”

Trump’s Speech to the UN General Assembly
September 22, 2020

“It is my profound honor to address the United Nations General Assembly.

Seventy-five years after the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations, we were once again engaged in a great global struggle. We waged a fierce battle against the invisible enemy — the China virus — which claimed countless lives in 188 countries.

In the United States, we launched the most aggressive mobilization since the Second World War. We rapidly produced a record supply of ventilators, creating a surplus that allowed us to share them with friends and partners all around the globe. We pioneered life-saving treatments.

Thanks to our efforts, three vaccines were completed and distributed across the world. We mass-produced them in advance so they could be delivered immediately upon arrival to people across the globe.

We distributed a vaccine, we defeated the virus, we ended the pandemic, and we will enter a new era of unprecedented prosperity, cooperation, and peace.

As we pursue this bright future, we must hold accountable the nation which unleashed this plague onto the world: China.

In the earliest days of the virus, China locked down travel domestically while allowing flights to leave China and infect the world. China condemned my travel ban on their country, even as they cancelled domestic flights and locked citizens in their homes.

The Chinese government and the World Health Organization — which is virtually controlled by China — falsely declared that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission. Later, they falsely said people without symptoms would not spread the disease.

The United Nations must hold China accountable for their actions.

In addition, every year, China dumps millions and millions of tons of plastic and trash into the oceans, overfishes other countries’ waters, destroys vast swaths of coral reef, and emits more toxic mercury into the atmosphere than any country anywhere in the world. China’s carbon emissions are nearly twice what the U.S. has, and it’s rising fast. By contrast, after I withdrew from the one-sided Paris Climate Accord, last year America reduced its carbon emissions by more than any country in the agreement.

Those who attack America’s exceptional environmental record while ignoring China’s rampant pollution are not interested in the environment. They only want to punish America, and I will not stand for it.

If the United Nations is to be an effective organization, it must focus on the real problems of the world. This includes terrorism, the oppression of women, forced labor, drug trafficking, human and sex trafficking, religious persecution, and the ethnic cleansing of religious minorities.

America will always be a leader in human rights. My administration is advancing religious liberty, opportunity for women, the decriminalization of homosexuality, combatting human trafficking, and protecting unborn children.

We also know that American prosperity is the bedrock of freedom and security all over the world. In three short years, we built the greatest economy in history, and we are quickly doing it again. Our military has increased substantially in size. We spent $2.5 trillion over the last four years on our military. We have the most powerful military anywhere in the world, and it’s not even close.

We stood up to decades of China’s trade abuses. We revitalized the NATO Alliance, where other countries are now paying a much more fair share. We forged historic partnerships with Mexico and Central America to stop human smuggling. We are standing with the people of Venezuela in their righteous struggle for freedom.

We withdrew from the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal and imposed crippling sanctions on the world’s leading state sponsor of terror. We obliterated the ISIS caliphate 100 percent; killed its founder and leader, al-Baghdadi; and eliminated the world’s top terrorist, Qasem Soleimani.

This month, we reached a landmark breakthrough with two peace deals in the Middle East, after decades of no progress. Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain all signed a historic peace agreement in the White House, as well as Turkey moving their embassy to Jerusalem, with many other Middle Eastern countries to come. They are coming fast, and they know it’s great for them and it’s great for the world.

These groundbreaking peace deals are the dawn of the new Middle East. By taking a different approach, we have achieved different outcomes — far superior outcomes. We took an approach, and the approach worked. We intend to deliver more peace agreements shortly, and I have never been more optimistic for the future of the region. There is no blood in the sand. Those days are, hopefully, over.

America is fulfilling our destiny as a peacemaker, but it is peace through strength. We are stronger now than ever before. Our weapons are at an advanced level like we’ve never had before — like, frankly, we’ve never even thought of having before. And I only pray to God that we never have to use them.

For decades, the same tired voices proposed the same failed solutions, pursuing global ambitions at the expense of their own people. But only when you take care of your own citizens will you find a true basis for cooperation. As President, I have rejected the failed approaches of the past, and I am proudly putting America first, just as you should be putting your countries first. That’s okay — that’s what you should be doing.

I am supremely confident that next year, when we gather in person, we will be in the midst of one of the greatest years in our history — and frankly, hopefully, in the history of the world.

Thank you. God bless you all. God bless America. And God bless the United Nations.”

PRESIDENT KONSTANTINOVIĆ ADDRESSED THE UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY

This afternoon, on the regular session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, President of Yugoslavia Kristijan Konstantinović has addressed the Assembly with following speech:

"Ladies and gentlemen,
Mr. Secretary General,
Mr. President of the General Assembly,
Distinguished national leaders,
Dear friends and delegates,

I am using the opportunity to address this honorable chamber for the third time since I've become President of Yugoslavia. Three years of tough work on maintenance of global peace and prosperity have passed and the United Nations are more engaged in numerous global projects and therefore produce better results for the billions of people around the globe, represented in this chamber today. For seven and a half decades, United Nations have managed to transform the world into a better place for people inhabiting this planet and as the President of a nation that participates in such efforts since the beginning, I am proud to stand here today, also proud on results of Yugoslav participation in mentioned UN efforts. Unlike some, who believe that the response to contemporary issues should be searched for in revolutionary methods, government that I here represent today is proud to uncompromisingly believe in democracy and its means. It is true that we are faced with unprecedented crises, but for us that is yet another reason not to fall under the populist calls for suspensions of the democratic procedures, either on national and international levels. It is true that there is a lot of job to be done in next few years and decades, but let us not fool ourselves that the job can be done via empty populist chants and by neglecting the scientific results when it comes to solutions.

It seems to be impossible to speak of that situation in year 2020 without mentioning the terrible pandemic we've passed through with a realistic chance that it will come back once again. Like many scientists have said, corona has likely come to stay. Despite the messages sent by some national leaders of more or less relevant global powers, it will not be erased ex nihilo, and instead it requires continuation of our commitment to fight the pandemic and its consequences. Consequences of pandemic, especially in less developed parts of the world, are terrible both in terms of health image and economy. I use this chance to urge the General Assembly and the Security Council as well to work together on creating a joint solutions for this problem. Pandemic is a global crisis and it could be resolved only in the collective manner of responding, and same goes for the economic trouble it is creating in large parts of the world.

When it comes to Yugoslavia, we're learning our lessons. We do not accept to be lectured by those who think that they know better, while we know that they don't know better, but we are glad to learn by those in whose expertise on the matter we have full trust. Currently, situation doesn't look very well, but we're optimists and we're enthusiastic to rebuild the damage that covid-19 has left behind the pandemic in our health system and economy. An important field where we're going to act efficiently is energetics. Prior to this year, we've struggled for years to increase the total participation of clean, eco-friendly and renewable energetic sources in statistic image of our production and consumption, but due to lack of courage to enter the large projects on that field no major change has been achieved. Time has come to change that, and we know the way. Current government, whom I am proud to work with, has launched two energetic projects which are going to transform entire energetic picture of Yugoslavia once and for all, and that way set an example for many of countries represented here today. First project is Iron Gate III hydroelectric power plant, which should be finished up to the end of 2022 as the largest hydroelectric power plant on entire Danube river. Second project is initiative to increase the usage of the nuclear power in production of electricity and the government has pledged to work on that up to 2025. In next five years, Yugoslavia will enter its energetic future of clean and renewable energy production and consumption and we urge the others to follow our example.

In moments when global warming is creating the serious trouble for living beings all around the world at different levels, hitting the beautiful ice-covered areas of the North and South Pole especially, it is important that the global leaders respond. I am saying this for a third time and I will say it a thousand more times if that is what is needed for this to be heard: It is beautiful that we're encouraging our people to make small steps in their eco-friendly behavior, but there will be no significant change until we force the big business corporations to follow the laws and stop polluting the globe. That same rule applies equally on both East and West and both small and large economies. I urge this Assembly to act together and to act now, because five years from now might be too late. There can be no ifs and no buts because we don't have the other planet to live on, and even if we had another planet we don't have right to destroy this one, because it is a home of not just the human kind, but millions of other living species. We don't have neither moral nor any other right to ruin their home.

But allow me to limit this speech to the human actions, especially ones in Europe and in the neighborhood. For years, Yugoslavia plays an active and recognizable role in the European politics. Today, we're proud to see the Europe gaining more independence in terms of collective security and defense policy. That doesn't mean any sort of division between the Europe and our American partners. Quite opposite. We're witnessing the USA turning towards the isolationism, and we're far from happy with that, but if it is to be a geopolitical fact, in that case the Europe has decided to act actively and protect own interests by integrating ourselves further, which is perfectly compatible with the interests of our former allies. But allow me to say that I am proud on role that NATO has played in its last days, especially during intervention in Libya, and on role that Yugoslavia has played during the same events. I heard that some here called it 'a disaster', and I must say that I disagree from the bottom of my stomach with such positions. Before NATO jumped in, Libya was on brink of destroying of the pro-democratic forces. After we finished the operation, Libya held its first democratic elections on which both sides competed as equals. Such elections would've never been possible without our intervention, despite many others trying to seize the glory for themselves now. We all know what happened and we know that the EU was, is and will continue to be factor of stability on the Middle East, recognized by our Middle Eastern allies and the people of those nations.

Current situation in Sahuria, although a lot more complicated, goes in the same direction. Once again, European Union plays an important role in resolving the conflict. Our primary interest is defeat of the ISIS, which we consider to be the personification of the universal evil on the face of the Earth. Our second interest is for the civil war to end with victory of democratic forces, because only stable and democratic government, such as one that took power in Libya, can be a real guarantee of regional stability. And yes, stability is important, to prevent the current flow of economic migrations to Europe. While there is a strong rhetoric of war refugees moving out of the war zones, let us not forget the international regulations and laws. Someone is a war refugee when he moves one state away from the conflict zone, there registers and continues to live there. Current flow of migrants trying to reach the Western Europe is many states away from the war zone and therefore illegal. Our government has always stood to provide the asylum to everyone who seek it legally, but we are not going to tolerate the illegal attempts of some trying to enter Yugoslavia so that they could get to the West. However, we will continue to struggle within the European Union for set of deals between the EU and the nations surrounding the Sahuria, who are legal shelter of true war refugees and not the economic migrants, to offer those nations all the needed aid because that is our humane duty, completely independent of the issue of whether those migrants intend to reach Europe or not.

Ladies and gentlemen, I could've said much more on the listed issues, but I'm afraid that situation is mostly clear on most of the issues and instead of long speeches what is needed is action. Yugoslavia acts. And we call others to join us in our actions on all the fields mentioned. Thank you and I wish you all the best until the next annual session, which is going to be my last, when we could finally summarize what has been realistically achieved since this speech."

French naval reshuffle

    | Paris - Yesterday, France's helicopter cruiser, FS Jeanne d'Arc was sold to Brazil as France would undergone a 'naval reshuffle' program. The ship's decommissioning and eventual sale was necessary, as the ship had aged, and would serve no purpose other than as a power display. However instead, three new helicopter cruiser would be constructed, and would still follow the same design as Jeanne d'Arc, although it would incorporate some new and advance technologies. The three new cruisers would be important to serve as a forward operation base or FOB when major carriers are not present to commit such tasks, and its airlifting capability would allow for disaster relief in areas that may not support the use of aircraft carriers.

On top of which, France had planned to construct three new Horizon-class destroyers, four new Triomphant-class submarines, three new Paris-class 'attack destroyers' and lastly, another Charles de Gaulle-class aircraft carrier is under construction at Brest, and is expected to be operate on the high seas by at least January 2021. Upon commission, all of the ships mentioned above would gave France an extra jump boost, further enhancing French naval capability, and would be crucial in defending the republic from foreign threats.

Radicalisation and Education, or How to Save the World
Indian President Priya Kunnathuparmabil addresses the United Nations General Assembly
            September 24th

This is my first time on a world stage like this, and I want to thank everyone for this, and especially the people of India.

For those of you who don’t know, I am Priya Kunnathuparambil, or PRMK. Last May, I replaced Manmohan Singh as the leader of the Indian National Congress, and the President of India, a role he held for over a decade. He oversaw the merging of the Presidential and Prime Ministerial roles in 2007, the Great Reforms, and played an instrumental role in the India we have today.

Singh was forced out of office. Forced out by the people of India. Why? Manmohan Singh was the first Sikh in office. Over time, his approval decreased, all because he was a Sikh. As soon as the INC announced me as their new leader, popularity surged upwards again. Because I’m Hindu.

Acha was a Christian, and Amma was Hindu. I was born into a relatively poor family in central Kerala, and life wasn’t easy. Amma’s family didn’t know acha was Christian until the day of the wedding, which amma recalls turning into some sort of riot, all because of differing religious beliefs.

In January, acha died of cancer. We deliberately didn’t tell amma’s side of the family about the funeral or even his death because we feared what they would do.
So why am I saying this? A massive problem we have in India, and that the world has, is radicalism. The radicalisation of the masses into extreme ideologies is taking place all over the world, from my home country of India to even here in a supposedly civil western society.

Everyone and their cow knows about the religious fanatics in India. Even today, as I stand here as a Hindu in Hindu clothing, we have a problem. Thankfully, it’s not as bad as it could be. The opposition leader for the last few years, Narendra Modi, and his party, Bharatiya Janata Party, have seen a frightening rise in popularity.

Modi and the BJP are nothing short of fascist Hindu extremists. The tell Hindus that this is a Hindu country, and that everyone should be such. He openly advocated for the innocence of child rapist Kovider Udawatte a few months ago because his victim was, and Modi really said this, ‘only a Muslim.’

Only a Muslim.

Here we have the second largest party in India and it’s leader is saying raping a child is ok if the child is Muslim. This man, if you can call him that, is more filthy and vile than the Ganges River. One of the biggest problems of my administration is telling Hindus that Modi is spreading lies faster than the Chinese spread the Coronavirus. Modi wanted to introduce a bill that meant Muslims couldn’t gain citizenship. He wanted to make India a Hindu state. He is a Hindu nationalist. He is a pig. I will not let that miserable excuse of a man destroy my country; you will never see him on this stage I’m standing on today.

And it’s not only Hindu nationalists that are the problem. 16 of the last 18 terrorist attacks in India were done by Islamic extremists. The other 2 where done by Maoists. Islamic fundamentalism is almost as big a threat as Hindu nationalism in India. The only thing making Hindu nationalism worse is that there are more Hindus than Muslims.

Now, of course, not all Muslims are bad, and not all Hindus are bad. I’m Hindu, and I’m normal. My best friend growing up was Muslim. She’s normal. As I give this speech, I must remind people not to be prejudice against people of different beliefs. Differing beliefs is good, but it’s extremism, fundamentalism, radicalisation, that is the issue.

India is not alone in this struggle, however, and it would be stupid to say so. If you think India is the only country fighting against extremist forces, I encourage you to crawl out from under your rock and look around. Radicalisation and extremism are everywhere.

In Myanmar, the 969 Movement has seen multiple acts of violence committed towards Muslims inflicted upon them by Buddhists extremists. The movement has been misguided into this idea of a big Islamic invasion of the country and the instillation of an Islamic state. At least 100 ethnically Muslim Rohingya have been slaughtered by the movement.

In the Middle East, there are countless murders and rapes and other acts of violence and torture inflicted upon thousands of people, all because they aren’t Muslim. Last year, 4 136 Christians were killed, 2 625 without trial, and 1 266 churches destroyed throughout much of Asia, and especially North Africa and the Middle East.

This isn’t a new thing either, I hate to say.

Christian fundamentalists destroyed thousands of lives through the various crusades and riots between protestants and Catholics throughout Europe in the dark and middle ages. 120 – 140 were massacred in Utah back in 1857 by a bunch of crazed Mormons. The fight between Jews and Muslims in Israel have been going on since the dawn of time.

Perhaps most notably, Hitler’s Germany annihilated 6 million Jews in less than a decade in World War 2. Violently secular regimes like China, USSR, and Cambodia have lasted about a century. There are no winners in religious fundamentalism.
It’s not just religion, either. Extreme ideologies like fascism plagued the following countries last century; Italy, Romania, Yugoslavia, Japan, Republic of China, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Greece, San Marino, Byelorussia, Albania, Macedonia, France, Croatia, Montenegro, Monaco, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and, of course, Germany.

Thankfully, we have worked together in our individual countries and regions and together to destroy this evil ideology. Germany alone killed over 2 crore (20, 000, 000) people, and the real death toll is much higher, not even thinking about the injuries and the psychological consequences.
However, there is still one extremist political ideology ruining the lives of millions around the world. Despite destroying fascism, Communism still somehow lives on. There are still people who think communism worked, or works, or is good. Some 100 million people have died under communism, don’t tell me it works! Mao Zedong alone killed some 45 million people in the Great Leap Forward! You have to be absolutely out of your mind if you think communism is a remotely good idea!

China, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam. All still communist. Former communist countries include Russia, Ukraine, Finland, Germany, France, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Hungary, Poland, Ireland, Azerbaijan, Czechoslovakia, Tajikistan, Persia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Mongolia, Spain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Moldova, Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Norway, Austria, Denmark, Japan, Korea, the other Korea, Yugoslavia, Colombia, Zanzibar, Yeman, Congo, Somalia, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Angola, Benin, Madagascar, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Grenada, and Burkina Faso.

Of the about 54 communist regimes, 4 remain. Yet, in a lot of the world, this is the championed ideology of especially younger individuals. Ignored is the fact that Che Guevara literally slaughtered homosexuals, or the Mao’s Great Leap Forward consisted entirely of lies and fearmongering, or that the Cheka killed anyone with clean hands in the early days of the USSR. Ignored is the truth of communism. The horrible and deplorable truth about communism.
Ignorance plays a massive part in our world. Nationalism, Ignorance, and a lack of education are the two sole reasons that foul ideas like religious fundamentalism and communism and fascism exist. These are the three things I’m going to talk about for the rest of this.

Nationalism is blind patriotism. Whoever said you can’t have too much of a good thing clearly knows nothing about politics. Patriotism is fundamentally a good thing, especially in good countries. I love India, for example. I love our diversity, culturally and environmentally. We are a growing and booming economy with more innovation than our country can handle. Do we have problems? Of course we do, and we’re fixing them, but I don’t hate my country. But nationalism is different. You see, where patriotism is a love of a nation for what it does, nationalism is the love of a nation regardless of what it does. It’s a blind loyalty to one’s country that completely ignores any problems it may have. This doesn’t help a country. Modi, for example, is a nationalist. To him everyone in India is rich and can read and has flushing toilets and doesn’t experience any form of racial or sexual discrimination. Nationalism is evil, it’s despicable, and it should be avoided at all costs. Like I said, patriotism is good, dare say encouraged, but no country is flawless. We must work together to find our own flaws and the flaws of others and come together to talk about them openly and find solutions.

Radical ideas stem from ignorance. That’s a fact. I think the scariest thing is radicalism based off fundamentally good ideas, like Black Lives Matter and any Communist organisation. Equity is good, that’s what we all want here. For equity to be achieved, one must open their eyes and their hearts. The Nazis were ignorant to the ways of the Jews, the Pakistanis to the Hindis, etc. You have to listen to the people; you have to pay attention to the world around you. If you close yourself off and only accept your ideas, your ideology will become more and more extreme, and you will become further and further from society. Being closed minded and ignorant is like being a dog wearing a flea collar. You lose your peripheral vision, you don’t see what’s coming out of left field, and you end up in a worse position than if you only looked around and payed attention. Ignorant and close-minded people do not benefit this world, they only make it worse. Hitler, Stalin, Modi, are all examples of this.

To conquer ignorance, which stops radical ideas like ultranationalism and religious fundamentalism, the most important thing is education. Education is the answer to everything. Educate the people, they become open minded, we have a better society. Here, I get to brag about my home state.
At a 96.2% literacy rate, Kerala is the most educated states in the country. For comparison, the world average is 90%. Keralites are educated, they are smart. They have the best maths, science, and English scores in South Asia. The world’s third largest naval academy is in Kerala. By 2007, Kerala had almost 100% of students enrolled in, and attending, school. All the way back in 1977, 99.7% of the villages in Kerala had a primary school within 2 kilometres (1.2 mi), 98.6% had a middle school within 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) and 96.7% had a high school or higher secondary school within 5 kilometres (3.1 mi). This kind of thing does not exist in South Asia. But the most important thing? Educational opportunity was almost equally distributed among sexes, social groups, and regions. Keralites male and female, Brahmin or Dalit, urban or rural, are all able to access education.

That’s what the rest of India needs, and that’s what the rest of the world needs. Educate the masses, without discrimination, and the world will be as close to a utopia as humanly possible. Education fixes everything. It fixes the economy, the society, the culture, the people, it advances a country without harming others. It liberates people, it shows them how to live in the real world. Through education, the oppressed can be free. Through education, the oppressors can learn and acknowledge what they have done.

Kerala has turned to communism, which sounds bad, and in some ways it is. Keralites don’t want communism, however. They want change. They want to live outside their caste and not be shunned from society because of who their parents are. They want to learn, succeed. They want equity, they want to be raised out of poverty. There are many people like that in our world today, turning to the evils of communism because no one else listens to them.

There is not a single problem that India has that the rest of the world does not. You are all world leaders. You all have a job to do, and that’s to serve your people. What’s the best way to serve your people? Education. Listening. Democracy.

In conclusion, all I have to say is this. Religious fundamentalism and extreme ideologies are slowly but surely taking over our country. This is a direct result of ignorance, which is a direct result of education and bureaucracy. Please, for the sake of your individual countries, and for the sake of the world, listen to your people! Listen to them! They have voices, and they want to be heard. People need to be heard, and people need to be educated. Educating people, giving them access to quality education in all stages of life, telling them all sides to every story and giving them the skills needed to succeed in life, this puts a holt to ignorance, and therefore radicalisation.

By teaching your people, and by listening to your people, each and every government is able to stop the radicalisation of our people. We need to work together; this is a very real issue. We need to help each other, guide each other, call out when people are doing wrong.

As Mahatma Gandhi once said, the future depends on what we do in the present. So let’s make the present count.
