With interest in world events as well as the recent war that took place between the forces of the CAR and Oskarheim, the Queen of Azenyanistan and the President of Azenyanistan submitted a request to the Haven League for increased cooperation and development of weapons and other military assets. The Azen government also requested that the Haven League assist in the development of an Azen Navy and Air Force after previous actions taken by the country against pirates in the region.

The hopes of the Azen government are that the League would invest in the Azen industries for the military. The Azens also hoped to invite HL forces to establish more bases in the country.

Concerns dominate the thinking of the Azen government today over the state of the country. This year witnessed the loss of the colony of Streyacora as well as the embarassment endured during Azen anti-piracy operations in the region due to a blockade that happened against good advice.

This year also has witnessed the continuing rise of Azen industry and military capacity. In addition, there is revived interest in foreign affairs as the nation hopes to secure her position in this world. To do so, the Queen has agreed to surrender more power than any monarch has done in the country to the people.

With the permission of the Queen Mother and the assistance of the President, it seems that the country is moving towards the path of a much more liberal democracy. While it may not cause other countries to favor Azenyanistan due to ideological differences, it may at least promote more freedoms and more prosperity in Azenyanistan and in the region.

However, this also means that suspicions of countries without liberal values or democratic processes increase. ACSDQ agents reported that citizens have started to criticize the ideologies of other countries while at the same time, parties in the country that do not appeal to changing values of the new generations are declining. While some of these parties are legal, others are undergoing the process of being neutralized by the ACSDQ.

Other issues being addressed this time are the issues of merging several parties with common values and goals into a big tent party. Others include the future role of the monarchy in the country, with supporters of Natalia the III encouraging the country to ask the monarchy to serve in the military and in the government as elites. Others propose that they retire.

Meanwhile, Azenyanistan congratulates the people of Montarc for the results of their elections but some unknowns seem to suspect that something wrong must have happened.

Azens also have asked the government about the possibility of creating a space program. No reply or announcement has been made concerning such an idea.

For now, Azen naval forces were ordered to only continue regular patrols of Azen waters while the Azen army was ordered to meet with the ACSDQ over the possibility of including the ACSDQ within the ranks of the armed forces.

Finally, the Azen government announced to the public that they will start considering the possibility of constructing nuclear weapons so that the country may have extremely efficient weapons for her defense or for the defense of her allies or the use of nuclear technology in the civilian world for the sake of energy. Although the Queen herself was opposed to the idea of nuclear proliferation and construction within the country, it was left to the rest of the government and the people to decide.
