President Hawkins was in the car with Flores on the way to his Inauguration. Flores was wearing his suit, all black except for the white shirt. He adjusted his tie, slicking his hair back in the car while using the window and a mirror. Hawkins sat across from him, a smile as usual on his face along with a glass of whiskey in his hand.

"You look fine, Flores." He said, while reaching across and patting his shoulder. "So, where is Frankie?" He said, leaning back into his seat.

Flores adjusted his tie "She is going to meet us at the entrance. Don't you remember your first inauguration? When Pam was still around?" Flores said, looking back at Hawkins and letting his hands fall in his lap.

Hawkins nodded, remembering when when his wife was still with him and smiling while he gave the oath of office. She was wearing a light green suit and skirt, standing in her black heels that she loved to wear to any big event. He thought of her brown hair and green eyes, all of the stuff he missed. He tried not to think too much more about it though, as today was the day for Flores.

"Of course I remember it, second best day of my life, after getting married of course."

Flores smiled.

"You know, I need a Secretary of State. I'm sure that you would fit the bill perfectly."

Hawkins chucked. "Whatever makes you happy, Gen- Mr. President."

After a few more minutes the arrived at the statehouse, where the inaugurations had been done for years. Frankie was wearing a light blue suit coat and skirt, standing outside of the door to the building. Once she saw Flores her eyes lit up.

"Albert! It's finally happening, isn't it honey?" She said, running over to him and giving him a massive hug. Flores smiled and hugged her back.

"It really truly is, honey. Come on, let's get to the podium." He said while holding her hand and leading her through the building.

Hawkins followed them through the building out to the podium overlooking a mass of people who had gathered to watch him get inaugurated. News cameras were all watching him, microphones all on the stand from every big channel, including one from SNN. Reporters where taking pictures for the paper and crowds of people were cheering. Flores gave a wave down to the people on the ground before going over and placing his hand on the Bible.

"Do you, Albert Delano Flores swear to uphold the ideals of Democracy, Freedom, and justice as president of the United States? To hold the torch for all of Tanabon and keep her safe?"
The inaugurator said.
"I promise to protect Tanabon and her ideals for my children and the nations children."

The inaugurator nodded

"Welcome to the presidency, President Albert Delano Flores. May you lead us to greatness."

With that, President Flores was now President of the United States of Tanabon.
