...Russia and Britain were at war. They were fighting. Alaska was easy money for Britain, so Russia did the only thing it could. Also, Britain still has an empire, or the remnants of it. And they still have a close relationship with Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. India and the US are also good friends of the UK right now.

Everyone needs to get ready for St. Patrick day. I'm already wearing green.

Communism was not as bad as people think, people such as Karl Marx meant for the workers to have the power in the world, not the factory owners.

Indeed, the geography of such places makes the city, not the founders of said city. Besides, the Dutch didn't support the colony much at all, and Britain straight up walked in and won without a fight. The Dutch cared for the East Indies far more than a random outpost with furs.

We could use such things put in the communist manifesto and das kapital, just once they were put in use in russia and china (Others to) it failed because of the ruthless dictators there.

Um, no there wasn't. California joined as a free state in 1850. If there had been any slaves, they would've had very small numbers.

Yeah we did. Could’ve gotten more but our leaders were benevolent back then.

Amestris and freedonia wrote:our taxes aren't that bad

Idk some of those business owners moving to Texas described California as tax hell. Then there’s musk moving to Austin but isn’t that more due to the virus protocol

People such as George Orwell denounced russia, dispite being socialist themselves, they wanted true socialism, not what china and russia had.
