The Commonwealth of Aetheris Care Systems is a very large, orderly nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 418 million Aetherisian are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The relatively small, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Defense. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10.6%.

The all-consuming Aetheris economy, worth 35.2 trillion Caiffs a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Furniture Restoration, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is 84,218 Caiffs, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 344,952 per year while the poor average 13,594, a ratio of 25.4 to 1.

Entire families are dragged into counseling whenever children fight on a playground, mining safety laws are often more expensive than what's being mined, athletic teenagers are among the wealthiest members of society, and the government is funding experimental battery technology while the power grid continues to crumble. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent. Aetheris Care Systems's national animal is the Raven, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.

Aetheris Care Systems is ranked 76,745^th in the world and 20^th in Rosaria for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring 4,122.56 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
