The Colony of GDF33 is a titanic, socially progressive nation, renowned for its compulsory military service and irreverence towards religion. The democratic population of 17.082 billion GDF33ians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 12.3%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient GDF33ian economy, worth 727 trillion Citas a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Basket Weaving industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Tourism, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 42,598 Citas, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. GDF33's national animal is the Vippertooth Dragon.

GDF33 is ranked 79,189^th in the world and 1^st in Garda De Fier for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 45.34 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
