The Free Land of Indy is a mammoth, safe nation, remarkable for its otherworldly petting zoo, free-roaming dinosaurs, and suspicion of poets. The compassionate population of 9.108 billion Indyians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 44.8%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Indyian economy, worth 679 trillion guilders a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 74,635 guilders, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The government snoops on private internet connections, 4-year-olds are often found reminiscing about the 'good old days', the Indy City Prison Revue puts on a better stage show than anything in the Theatre District, and fans doing the wave routinely disrupt the finals of Go tournaments. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Indy's national animal is the tiger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Indy is ranked 98,538th in the world and 26th in Serenity for Largest Pizza Delivery Sector, scoring 2,049.02 on the Pepperoni Propulsion Productivity Index.
