The Republic of Pfa is a very large, safe nation, notable for its state-planned economy, compulsory military service, and stringent health and safety legislation. The democratic, devout population of 238 million Pfans love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Welfare, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 47.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Pfan economy, worth 5.92 trillion rubles a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Retail, Pizza Delivery, and Tourism. Average income is 24,888 rubles, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Pfa's national animal is the dove.

Pfa is ranked 120,472^nd in the world and 7^th in Mix for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring 1,196.43 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
