The Republic of Touree is a huge, pleasant nation, renowned for its burgeoning leopard population. The hard-working population of 567 million Toureeans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Welfare. The average income tax rate is 22.9%.

The Toureean economy, worth 22.5 trillion lire a year, is quite specialized and led by the Cheese Exports industry, with major contributions from Soda Sales, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Trout Farming. Average income is 39,735 lire, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.

Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Touree's national animal is the leopard.

Touree is ranked 171,324^th in the world and 406^th in Dimmersun for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 339.46 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
