The Colony of UT33 is a titanic, safe nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service and irreverence towards religion. The democratic population of 10.982 billion UT33ians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 12.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient UT33ian economy, worth 466 trillion Citas a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Basket Weaving, Book Publishing, and Woodchip Exports. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 42,465 Citas, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. UT33's national animal is the Vippertooth Dragon.

UT33 is ranked 78,303^rd in the world and 1^st in Ultima Thule for Nicest Citizens, with 15.51 average smiles per day.
