Sea of Trendaline | 28 Jan 2109 | Second Lieutenant Yoon would stall for a moment. There weren't any ships in the area that he was aware of. Suddenly, Private Kim came barreling towards him.

Kim: (in Hanese) "Lieutenant, lieutenant! HQ says there's a destroyer squadron within striking distance. HQ says to..."

Yoon: (in Hanese) "What?!"

The second lieutenant's voice was still amplified, so when he turned around and shouted in surprise, there would be a few more visits to the infirmary that day. Sergeant Kang, grimacing, releases her incantation. Yoon, wincing, runs over to his troops in an attempt to comfort them somehow. "Oops, sorry guys. Can you still hear me?" Kim, still clutching his ears and contorting his face in pain, slowly nods. "Sorry guys, but Private Kim, I need you to get into contact with that squadron. Raise a hail and request them to guide our visitors to our position." Nodding in affirmation, Private Kim slowly stumbles away, still clutching his ears.

The hail would be received by all three ships of DS31, which were continuing to strafe in and out of the perceived range of the enemy guns, some 40 kilometres (21.6 nautical miles) out.

Rhee: "Captain, communications is receiving a hail from Private Kim Sang-Hun of the army. They are requesting for us to assist in directing one of the foreign ships to their position, coordinates pending."

Thinking only a moment, Commander Song nods in agreement with the plan.

Song: "The Wang Geon and Seoae Ryu Sungryong will maintain their course. The Kang Kamchan will approach the foreign fleet and deploy a RHIB at the 2.7 nautical mile mark to guide the foreign ship to the position indicated by Private Kim Sang-Hun of the Xin-Fael Ground Force. Notify the other captains of my decision."

Rhee: "Yes sir!"

Within several minutes, the Kang Kamchan swung to starboard, leaving the Wang Geon as the lead ship of the now two-ship squadron.

On land, Sergeant Kang had tentatively cast another voice projection incantation on Second Lieutenant Yoon after a brutal scolding and promises to treat the present company to cooked meat.

Yoon: "Sword Saint Piety, the guided missile destroyer Kang Kamchan is currently on approach and will deploy a small boat to lead you to our position."

As Second Lieutenant Yoon had stated, the lead ship of the Xin-Fael destroyer squadron broke off and began a course towards the Athejian fleet. Two golden flags were hoisted, a standard signaling flag denoting peace. Passage be willing, the ship would close to a distance of 2.7 nautical miles, close enough to see the each other through binoculars. Many Xin-Fael sailors would clamber to the railings to get a closer view of the massive foreign flotilla. A RHIB, armed with a simple rotary cannon, is lowered into the water with three crew members. The small boat takes off towards the coast with one of the sailors lighting a flare and waving it for the Athejian ship follow.

Second Lieutenant Yoon would wait patiently with the rest of his squad on the beach side for their guests to arrive.

RP: Moving Closer

One of the officers on the bridge would peer out of the windows with farsight, ogling the curious little boat speeding towards shore. Similarly, many of those with auxiliary jobs would rush to fill the decks to satisfy their curiosity, much to the jealousy of the gun crews and alchemy who were stuck in the bowels of the ship.

Named Alchemist Cassandra: "My, what a cute little boat, they even have a chaingun on the front! Certainly more nimble than our patrol craft that's for sure."

Paladin Bellero: "Indeed, though I am curious as to its propulsion, it doesn't look like it runs on Ether."

Sword Saint Piety: "Right then, I want a landing party sorted out and you two are coming with me. Paladin you're free to simply run the ship up on the beach as close as possible, the engines are more than capable of pulling us out should we get stuck on anything anyways. Alright, if you would, ahead full!"

The ship lurched forward as the six cores supplied an immense amount of power to the propeller shafts, plowing through the coastal waters with incredible speed for a ship of its size and class. Overhead on the main mast, the ship's flag had fully unfurled from the wind rushing by, a two tailed pennant nearly half as long as the ship it was on and proudly displaying the Athejian emblem. Flagships in Athejian fleets are much more literal than in other navies, yet another anachronism from the age of sail that truly never went away.

After some time, the ship eventually found its way to the shore. The huge dual hulled battleship towered above the sandy surface, its bow just barely resting on the surface of the shallow water. A wide gangplank would be laid down, serving as a ramp to the beach from the ship's decks. Sailors would run to the forward railings, trying to get a glimpse of what the first outsiders they would ever meet looked like.

Sea of Trendaline | 28 Jan 2109 | As if the majesty of the foreign ships wasn't enough to impress the sailors of the Kang Kamchan, the seamen watched as the massive Athejian ship lurch forward at considerable speed. By comparison to the fluttering flags and golden decorations of the foreign ships, the Kang Kamchan was colored a dull gray. The only flags that fluttered from this Xin-Fael ship were the two golden ones that continued to flutter from the ship's integrated mast. The humans of the Xin-Fael Federation had long forgone the large and proud battleships of the days of old, opting to follow the elves down a line of smaller combat vessels packed to the brim with missiles and equipment. Still, the large guns of the older generations of naval warfare had a place in hearts of many sailors, most of whom dreamed of firing a massive naval gun. As a result, several sailors could barely contain their excitement upon seeing the large Athejian guns.

On the beach, Yoon's squad had managed to find an old signalling flag in the trunk of one of the trucks. It was now waving from the beach where the remainder of the squad stood awaiting. The bunch wasn't too impressive. All of them wore a simple woodland camouflage fatigues. Second Lieutenant Yoon had donned a dark green beret while the rest of his men wore a combination of helmets, bucket hats, and patrol caps. Of the soldiers, Sergeant Kang stood out by wearing a traditional Hanese ayam (winter cap). They were all average humans, relatively unimpressive at a glance, differing in height. Behind them was a small town composed to simple concrete and wooden buildings, completely evacuated once reports of the Athejian fleet reached its radio station.

The squad watched as the massive warship closed towards the beach, closer than any major Xin-Fael warship would dare. It was even more majestic of a vessel up close, more beautiful than any 19th-century elven battleship. The small greeting party would watch as the foreigners appeared from the bulkhead, likely as curious as the natives of this land were. They looked human enough, but far more beautiful than any average person. Their golden eyes shone noticeably, even from a distance. The squad murmured among themselves until the gangplank appeared from the ship and was lowered onto the sandy beach. The soldiers, standing attention, nervously waited for whatever mighty being would descend from the innards of the ship.

RP: Land ho!

The men would regard the Xin-Fael with curiosity, but most were thinking about the reasons for the differences. The other expeditionary forces have reported similar details about other militaries and civilizations, for some reason unknown to us, function definitely favored form in most other societies. In contrast to the impossible to miss and intricate Athejian uniform, the Xin-Fael's were much more simple, however it seemed like they could vanish into the forest at will with their strange patterns, useful no doubt in ambushes or when trying to be stealthy. Such matters would have to be taken into consideration, many aspects of the "missiles" and "RADAR" others mention so much were still very much a source of confusion to even the most adept of our alchemists and enchanters, but more likely than not they would have something to do with this. The lack of warfare between other nations most definitely contributes to these differences between us.

The Athejian culture was in one word, ostentatious, and thus was every other aspect of our nation. The officers disembarking from the ship were no exception, dressed in horizon blue uniforms and armor as white as the hull of the ship they had arrived on, complete with the over-the-top gold gilding. Similarly their weapons were also a mismatch, instead of bayonets or even in some cases replacing a rifle, they carried all manner of swords, staffs, and halberds. The guns themselves, despite having a clearly modern box magazine, were covered in decorative engravings and polished wood furniture. However, one singular thing would draw the eyes of everyone around, the Sword Saint.

She walked ahead of the two dozen something high ranking officers, clad in sturdy yet slim suit of platemail that covered her from her boots to her neck. As an archangel her wide wings fluttered and moved with her steps, her pure white feathers and golden blonde hair glowing under the light of her intricate halo. To top it off, she carried a long object on her shoulder wrapped in a deep purple cloth. As she neared the soldiers she noticed that a pair of them wore a different hat than the others and immediately took them to be the commanding officers of the group.

Sword Saint Piety (In Hanese): "Salutations, I am Piety for whom the Knightly Order of Piety is named after and Sword Saint of the Holy Kingdom of Athejia. You are Second Lieutenant Yoon Si-woo I presume?"

She gave a curtsy with her armored skirt, her wings spread wide as they followed her body language before folding back up.

Athejia wrote:RP: Boarding

The captain of the ship and several other high ranking officers await on the ship's decks, once the two vessels were aligned, a gangplank was lowered.

"Hello, I am Paladin Antonio of the Holy Kingdom of Athejia, captain of the ADV Illuminant. For what purpose do you come to our lands?"

The lack of radios or any means of electronic communications among the Athejian fleet, and indeed with the rest of the country as well, meant that the broadcast fell on deaf ears aside from some minuscule interference on our own speaking crystals. As the ships drew closer to shore, their white and gold paint together with their ornamental decorations scattered about their hulls and turrets, would easily allow any onlooker to realize that they were far from the typical war fleet. The vessels would eventually slow to a quarter speed, still in their parade ranks, to announce themselves to whatever lived on the unknown shores before them. A host of the fleet's archangels would rise up from the decks and arrayed themselves in a large circle several hundred feet above even the tallest of the ships masts. There they began the incantation, and though its words were stolen by the coastal wind, magic coursed into reality nonetheless.

Starting as a faint glow between their outstretched hands, it eventually grew to a blinding mass of energy which would go bounding from one archangel to the next. In time an enormous and incredibly intricate magic circle bathed the surrounding area with its warm golden light. The fleet's Sword Saint (Admiral or General equivalent) would nod as she was informed of the spell's completion, walking outside and speaking into a crystal hanging off her necklace.

Sword Saint Piety: "Lend me your ears, those who dwell in these lands, be not afraid! We, by the grace of the great dea Jubileus, have made it to these foreign shores to break free from the shackles of isolation with knowledge of what we do not know! We, in the Armada of the Holy Order of Piety, hail from the Kingdom of Athejia, wish no harm or ill-will! We, shall remain here and await your response!"

Her words would blast out of the magic circle in the sky with absolute authority, deafening to those on the ships below, and certain to reach someone, anyone, in the land before them regardless of distance.

RP: Perhaps

The archangel would wave her hand, and the other soldiers lowered their weapons, though they are all without a doubt wary of the new comers.

Teodora: "A Dragon? Goddess? Hmmm, perhaps there is more to your story that our leaders would be interested in. Very well, we will, as they say, give you the benefit of the doubt. Follow me and we will take you to the nearest town, depending on how things go you and your people would be permitted to stay just outside it once proper housing is arranged. However, you will be under constant watch lest any unsavory ideas come to fruition.

Tell me, why do you look so different than your followers?"

RP: Goin Home

With the hull of the Royal Sovereign more or less drained of sea water and patched up, and the propellers operating off only two of the six mana destabilization cores which alternated in their usage to reduce strain, the Athejians would attempt to lead their escorts back home. As the ship limped along, the damage navigational system would eventually come close to their last position before the ship was disabled. In time they would run across a light flotilla, a single battlecruiser, four cruisers, and one mobile dockyard (all in one supply/repair ship), detached from the main exploratory fleet in search of the missing battleship, once the situation was explained their ships would continue to tow the Royal Sovereign and guide CSG 9 back home.

The diplomat onboard the ship would speak to the Athejians.
???: "I am a diplomat from the nation of Volcanai. We seem to open up basic diplomatic relations with Athejia and make a trade deal."

Sea of Trendaline | 28 Jan 2109 | The foreigners were not exactly the spitting image of what the members of Second Lieutenant Yoon's squad. Sure, they had seen pictures of the otherworldy pure-blood elves and the grandeur of high noble society within the Han nations, but at least their technology and magics were familiar. These foreign beings, while resembling humans, seemed to be the outworlders and, in a sense, they were. And yet for all the oddities of the lesser soldiers, staff, and officers, the one that stuck out like a sore thumb was the massive winged being that stood above all the others. It was as though a god had descended from the heavens and stepped onto their shores. For such a being, the current setting was simply too dull in comparison. The second lieutenant wasn't sure whether he should kowtow or run away in fear. Ultimately, however, he was just frozen in place, in awe of what was before him.

It was all the more surprising when the massive being began speaking in Hanese. Sergeant Kang, snapping out of the trance first, would quietly dispel her primal star incantation that enabled the second lieutenant to speak in English. The voice was commanding yet calming, and strange wave washed over the simple soldiers of the Xin-Fael Army. The remaining eight troops of the squad would instinctively clasp their hands together and bow deeply in response to the curtsy. Taking a deep breath, Second Lieutenant Yoon would respond shakily at first.

Second Lieutenant Yoon: (in Hanese) "Y... yes your grace. I am Second Lieutenant Yoon Si-woo of the Xin-Fael Ground Force, 14th Battalion of the Namdong. This is Sergeant Kang Jung-Sook, my second-in-command, and these are my men. I humbly welcome you, Sword Saint, to the Xin-Fael Federation. We are graced by your visit. I would like to invite you and your... men... to a cup of tea as we discuss your arrival. It... it's a tradition to invite guests to tea here in our homeland."

Nodding to Private Park and Kim as well as four other soldiers, Yoon's subordinates would salute and run off to begin boiling the tea using tea sets that the squad had scrounged up shortly prior to the meeting, leaving Lieutenant Yoon and Sergeant Kang to continue the dialogue.

Yoon: "I... I mean no disrespect when I say this, but we were not expecting someone so grand when we were preparing for this meeting. I am deeply sorry for the less-than-adequate meeting location."

Helena: "So um, what do you want me to do with your business card and why exactly are you giving me this?" she asked.

Sea of Trendaline | 26 Jan 2109 | Captain Yi, raising an eyebrow to the comment, would nod and knock thrice on the commander's door. The knocks would echo through the metal hallways followed by the clicking sound of the locking mechanism. The metal door would swing open, revealing a middle-aged man who donned khaki uniform. The insignia patch on his sleeves denoted his rank of commander and his name badge read 'Jiang Deng' in Common and Xinese. Behind him was a simple captain's quarters that contained a desk, a bed, two simple storage units, a wooden dining table, and two wooden chairs. On the table lay a porcelain pot and two porcelain cups, both decorated with white and blue designs of dragons. The commander himself was about 1.6-1.7 meters tall and well-built. He was clean-shaven and had a bald shiny head. Like his XO, Commander Jiang was tanned by years under the sun. A faded scar ran from just above his upper lip down his chin.

Commander Jiang: "Captain Serena, a pleasure to meet you. I hope your ride here wasn't too bumpy. Please, come in."

The commander spoke like he was meeting an old friend. He had a gruff but soft voice. Clasping his hands together, he would bow deeply before stepping back, inviting the foreign visitor into his quarters.

Jiang: "Please, take a seat. I hope you don't mind some jasmine tea. It's a staple back in my hometown and I can't stop drinking it myself."

Once Captain Serena had entered the room, Captain Yi would close the door behind her.

RP: First Contact

Serena would enter the room and was greeted by the man who was about 10-20 cm taller than her, she was a bit unfamiliar with the bow so with him bowing, she looked left to right and copied the Commander.

Serena: "Greetings Commander Jiang," she says reading his name badge hoping she pronounced it right, "I'm sorry if I may seem a bit unfamiliar with a few things, I wasn't trained to be a diplomat in the seas, all I know is how to handle a ship, her crew, and her guns, to flush out pirates who don't shave of their beards as clean as you do, or perhaps never do," she says trying to be entertaining and also compliment the commander.

Serena: "I don't mind tea at all, I am more of a coffee drinker but it isn't as tasty like the stores or coffeeshops I get inland." she replied as she sat down on the seat with her legs crossed, "So really, why have you invited me, a captain of a military vessel here onto your vessel? I suppose it would be nothing like interrogation as you wouldn't allow me to bring my men aboard this ship, perhaps curiosity got the best of us all?"

The retreating Gnolls hopped the barriers and mixed in with the town guard, who stood at the entrances with their guns pointed outward. The town roared to life like a collection of angry ants as word spread around town, drawing more gnollish warriors out into the streets. Defensive emplacements were beefed up with more metallic objects being added to the crudely assembled barricades. Trails of gnolls formed in the streets and rushed to several warehouses in which weapons were being dispersed. The thousand man defense party quickly doubled in size as more gnolls armed each other and rushed to the city's perimeters. The perimeter defense force consisted largely of MG emplacements and infantrymen armed with rifles and large caliber snipers

RP: Siege of Dehre Official.

As the Troop transports land the Tanks move up close out of Machinegun range and begin to dig Trenches both towards the Town and away from Town. Two sets of trenches are being built. 10,000 Men face outwards and 10,000 Men face inward. 4 Snipers begin to mark and begin to fire at the Gate Guard's. The Gunboat begins to shell the Town with Shrapnel shells indiscriminately for a few hours before stopping.

LMG's are set up pointed inward and outward. Icewindians are preparing to starve them out and face counter-attack. Barbed wire is being set up in the killzone as covering fire is provided for Combat Engineers however away from the town Landmines and Barbed wire are set up normally.

Karz has put it to Rekken, Dwarf land4, Artaecus and Schwypia to make a decision on what to do with her. Karz has offered to publicly shame her, a d lock her away. The land will now begin to heal as Archrons economy and populace, begins to rebuild

RP: The great transformation
All over Archron, the temperature has begun to rise. The snow has begin to melt. The once rocky terrain seems to be turning into dirt and hills. Snowy trees turn into ever greens and other sorts. The beaches now turn tropical and humid. The Cordex has been reported to be expending its power at its max to transform. Remaining buildings from the war have lost power. Glitches in the terrain have caused a few military personnel to perish. All the while, New creatures begin to form. Animals that have become large have begun ravaging the land. The military has begun suppressing them back however. But, the civilian populace has begun to worry. As most, see this ss a negative
