Hello from New Duna!
We moved recently from the Pacific, New Dunans are tempted with North Pacific's values and I'm optimistic about our future in here. We are a democratic nation forged by a popular uprising and we're excited to establish new diplomatic contacts!

Greetings everyone!
There is a new vote in the General Assembly:
Resolution at Vote: Protecting Personal Privacy
Vote Recommendation: Against
Forum voting thread: https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9190743/
You can read the Information for WA Voters dispatch (please upvote!) for more information about the resolution.
If you are a WA member, make sure to vote so that you have your voice heard and win special trophies in our monthly WADP Awards!
Additionally, you should also vote in the forum thread. The forum tally determines the delegate's vote, so this is your chance to determine how TNP's 1000 votes are used!
Resolution Analysis
Protecting Personal Privacy, while well intending, gets caught up in its own over-worded clauses and ultra specific definitions. The proposal denies governments the ability to view the data unless specific situations occur, which could cause governments to take larger action than realistically needed in order to view items pertinent to national security and gross crimes before an investigation could be opened. The definition of 'user' is so specific that there is not an easily discernable definition to 'non-user' seeing that it is not defined. This error makes Clause 3, sections 2 and 4 difficult to enforce. Clause 3, section 4 also allows for people to remove evidence of their specific person ever interacting with an organization unless 'there is a clear and compelling safety or disciplinary reason to do otherwise such as loans or criminal records'. This becomes an issue because there is no way to determine if such information could be used in the future for criminal or civil proceedings without those proceedings taking place, thus putting these organizations in a state of limbo. Additionally, Clause 4 allows organizations to prohibit a person from using services if they do not consent to their data being collected, however does not address what happens if a user provides falsified data. Furthermore, Clause 5, section 1 seems unclear if the resolution wants member nations to grant private individuals the ability to go after organizations who do not follow the resolution or if the WA member nation itself must take action against organizations who do not follow the resolution.
In accordance with the reasoning above, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote Against this proposal.

The new tank, in AGU army markings
Called the "Universal Main Battle Tank" in AGU service and simply the "MBT-69" in ESL service, this new generation of tank will be able to combat a wide variety of threats, allowing it to remain an effective fighting vehicle into the foreseeable future. As it was co-developed between ESL and AGU, different parts of the tank are made in each country.
ESL was put in charge of the guns, and boy did they really do it this time! Main armament is either a 120mm cannon, or a 140mm "Long Tomm" cannon, allowing the tank to engage targets at long ranges, before the enemy can even think of responding. The 140mm cannon has seen penetration increase of 69%, and a range increase of 42% over contemporary 120mm designs. All cannons are equipped with a two plane gun stabilizer, for firing on the move.
Secondary armament includes a fully retractable, remotely operated 20mm autocannon, as well as 2 co-axial "50 caliber machine guns" for the ESL variant or 2 13mm machine guns for the AGU variant. The tank can also fit anywhere from 8 to 16 "VAPE" smoke grenade launchers, allowing the vehicle to disappear into those "fat clouds of smoke". Vision is provided by ESL "ICUP" cameras, allowing the crew to have an unobstructed 360 degree view of the battlefield. All tanks are also equipped with full night vision capabilities.
Early concept art for the tanks 120mm and 140mm cannon systems.
The hull of the tank is designed in AGU, using the latest composite armor to protect the vehicle. The composition of the armor itself is classified, although it is purportedly capable of defeating up to 1,200mm of HEAT penetration. Power is provided by a 1,500 Horsepower Daimler-Benz Diesel Engine, with a Renk HSWL354 Transmission. This allows the tank to reach speeds of up to 69 km an hour, despite the vehicle clocking in at around 50 tons. It's 1,300 liter fuel capacity allows the tank an operational radius of 644 kilometers, enabling it to traverse large swatch of land before refueling. One interesting part of the vehicle is its suspension. Hydropneumatically powered, the tank can be lowered to just 4 inches off the ground, giving the already short vehicle an even lower profile. Both ESL and AGU have developed supplement armor kits for the tank. ERA, side skirt armor and belly armor are just a few of the options available for up-armoring the tank.
The tank's 1,500 horsepower, diesel engine
The turret itself is built in ESL, but the internal parts are manufactured in AGU. Each tank comes standard with an auto-loader and laser rangefinder from AGU. Each tank comes complete with NBC protection, including a Drager NBC overpressurization system that provides up to 5 millibars of over-pressure inside the vehicle. ESL also coats the crew compartment in 20 cm of polythene, shielding the crew from neutron radiation. The vehicle is also hardened against electromagnetic pulses. AGU Blowout panels on top of the turret help to increase crew survivability, while fire suppression is provided by the ESL M2 "Cold One" system, allowing you to crack one open with the boys anytime, worry free!
While the tank is relatively new, several variants of it are currently undergoing trials for possible later use. They include the following at the moment:
Contrasted with its more "standard" cousin, the bottom tank has had extra side skirt armor attached to it, increasing its survivability against rocket fire. It is hopped that a "soft-kill" system, a system that will be able to detonate incoming rockets on its own, will be available for the tank in the near future
This variant spots a pair of 120mm guns in a shortened chassis. Based off of old tank destroyer designs, this variant is still in development due to issues with having 2 guns linked to a single fire control
Production of the vehicle has started immediately, but with a 6.9 million DogeCoin price tag, excellence don't come cheap! Therefore, it is hoped to get this tank exported to as many as our friends and allies as possible!
Note: Some “East supple lundian” parts may be built in either West supple lund or Nurth supple lund. Nonetheless, they are made to the highest standards and are nearly indistinguishable from “genuine” ESL parts.
