Violence is escalating in the Northern Theater of the continental war ravaging Asia. The nations of the North-Eastern Security Treaty, determined not to let the communist superpower continue on its devastating path, came up with new plans for defense and attack. However, the People republic of the great east has not yet revealed the whole of its strenght.

On the northeastern front, covering Lower Heilongjiang and Zhukotsk, hostilities are at their peak. The special squads that arrived from New roman siberia demonstrated both their speed and effectiveness against numerous assaults from the Scarlet Tide. Although the defenses of the latter remain impassable and the main forces too consequent to be vanquished, the communist fervor transformed into a more prudent strategy, favoring quality over quantity as much as it is possible within their army. The artillery and chemical bombardment from the New roman siberia caused damage to the advanced corps, but the large numerical superiority of the communist artillery resulted in destructive walls of fire that ravaged both soldiers and battlefields. Incendiary tactics proved more effective in slowing down the communist advance, but the latter retaliated a few weeks later with the integration of squadrons of military canadairs. The Scarlet Stars continued to wreack havoc on the defensive lines, allowing communist forces to enter Suihua at the cost of thousands of lives. The development of signal jammers to counter the megadrones quickly proved to be a failure, despite the fact that the Scarlet Stars are remotely controlled. Qiqihar continues to hold on its defenses, but the People republic of the great east remains relentless enough so it can be said that their forces are using the mountains of corpses of their brothers-in-arms as entrenchments.

In the mainland territory of the Recreated irish republic, the siege of Vladivostok continues. With the full implementation of Operation Séadanda allowing the Irish city to be impenetrable as long as resources continue to be available, the People republic of the great east has undertaken a more offensive siege strategy. Tactical bombardments were precisely launched by the Scarlet Stars on the defensive fortifications, without any consequent assaults being launched afterwards. The need to constantly rebuild the city's defenses while the PRGE concentrates more and more soldiers in its surroundings is destined to exhaust the available resources more quickly. The PRGE frigates from northern Jentor also focused on keeping the ships of the Recreated irish republic away from Vladivostok, while the Scarlet Stars and their ever-growing air force are responsible for shooting down all Irish aircraft approaching the besieged city, regardless of their military or civilian status. Vladivostok and its inhabitants are firmly holding, but they remains isolated from any external support.

On the northern front of the People republic of the great east, the Scarlet Tide retreated to its established defensive lines. The insurgent anarchist cities poured in streams of armed militiamen who routed the local occupation garrisons. With the support of the civilian population, a large part of the Free Land of Xilin gol fell back under anarchist control despite best efforts to prevent such an event. The communist superpower ordered the establishment of more extensive fortifications and the greater use of Scarlet Stars, incendiary and chemical weapons against the forces of Xilin gol. Fighting continues, but the People republic of the great east appears much more cautious and less accommodating to the anarchists under its control. It seems that no more prisoners are taken, whoever they may be.

On the western front, finally, the People republic of the great east regained effective control of the situation. Despite the gain in hostility of the Siberian forces around Altay and Aksou, the growing concentration of communist forces has shown no mercy. Desert army divisions formed in the dry expanses of Xinjiang conducted the most violent assaults yet against Siberian defenses. More than a week later, the Siberian contingents fortified in Altay were routed, a large part of them slaughtered or taken as war prisoners. In the south, the soldiers under the authority of the New roman siberia were pushed back into the desert, away from Aksou and Bayin'gholin. Casualties have not been estimated, but they appear to be less devastating than those suffered in Altay due to the smaller presence of elite forces and Scarlet Stars.

- Southern Theater (CGE versus ADEP)

With what could be described as a loud bang, the military situation in Southeast Asia changes dramatically. Yesterday's adversaries, the Admiralty of Alnorud and the Kingdom of Kroaka, are now at peace. The role of the Commonwealth of the great east in this sudden turn of events has not been elaborated further than their declaration, but the two nations are no longer in conflict and are moving towards cooperation. The Admiralty of Alnorud has left both the war and the Asian Defensive and Economic Pact, forcing the great army of the continental alliance ready to face the Great Astrum of the Commonwealth of the great east to leave its territory as soon as possible. It is difficult to predict the exact consequences of such an event, but the situation is undoubtedly costly in terms of strategy and diplomatically difficult for the ADEP.

The Kingdom of Kroaka's armed forces have largely refocused on the two remaining fronts overwhelming its proven defensive lines, namely the Riau Archipelago against the Confederacy of Tiongkok and the Republic of the Maldives against the Allied States of Mol morgatopia. Exhausted and heavily damaged by the war, Kroaka is nevertheless at peace with its southern and southern neighbors, which galvanized its morale to fight on the remaining fronts with the fresh help of the Commonwealth of the great east.

The Confederacy of Tiongkok faced the great armada of the nationalist superpower in the waters around the Riau Archipelago, which had become a crossroads for the rival forces. The defenses established by the Confederacy are strong and continue to cause significant damage to the warships of the Commonwealth of the great east undertaking a more aggressive strategy now that the corridor with the Kingdom of Kroaka has been opened and strengthened by the departure of the Admiralty of Alnorud. Despite proud and stubborn resistance from Tiongkokese soldiers, Pulau Natuna-Besar eventually fell to bombing and night landings. Most of the military forces, however, managed to retreat before the capture of the island and continue to face the Behemoths of the Commonwealth. Further west, Kroaka's armed forces are still battling the defenses of Pulau Terempa, but they have not been able to gain the upper hand against Tiongkok, though they are still holding on their positions. While the Tiongkokese metropolitan coastlines continued to be shelled in the past weeks, there is still no sign of an assault by forces from the NEST or the Commonwealth of the great east.

On the eastern front, the People's Republic of Donestk faces a complex situation. The signing of the Gorontalo Peace Agreement ended the civil insurgency in the region of North Sulawesi, allowing Donestkian forces to concentrate their forces around the conquests of the NEST around Manado. This allows Donestk to regain a maritime advantage in the waters surrounding the region as well. Ships from the NEST began to be held off around North Sulawesi, but their hold on Pulau Karakelong and Pulau Sangihe remains strong. A few resistance movements still exists in North Sulawesi and Gorontalo, but seemingly nothing that would shake the existing authority.

In contrast, the Commonwealth of the great east continued to advance at a steady pace from the occupied province of Ilocos Norte. The strategy adopted by this section of the army seems to revolve around moving faster than the bombs. The support of elite artillery and the ships encircling the coastline allowed the Commonwealth to maintain control of the occupied territories. Nationalist naval dominance prevented Donestk's ships from inflicting major damage on the maritime supply of the armed forces, though it disrupted several convoys. Instead of heading south to the richer regions, the army of the Commonwealth formed an arc and headed for Tuguegarao, probably with the intention of encircling and overrunning the tens of thousands of Donestkian soldiers fighting in Santa Ana, where landing forces from the nationalist superpower have trouble advancing.

Finally, the Allied States of Duull conducted a new assault on Singapore and the defensive archipelago surrounding its fortifications, codenamed Operation Mocassin. This assault was violent and costly for both Duullian and Kroakan armies, but ended in an ill-timed cease-fire when requests for negotiations were raised at the international level. These having failed with the nations of the NEST, hostilities resumed between the northern Alliance and Duull in the form of Operation Winter Pig consisting of bombing Duull with chemical pesticides developed by the Lorth Corporation of Lorth westerbitiptopion and entitled "Rainbow Herbicides" by biologists and chemists from the New roman siberia. The Allied States retaliated with a defensive missile program designed to render this threat ineffective or inefficient. Hostilities in the bay of Singapore remain suspended until specific negotiations with the Kingdom of Kroaka are resolved or end up failing as well.

As hostilities continues in Asia, the game of politics and diplomacy keeps playing out. Wars are not only fought nor won on the battlefield, and a common drive for peace seems to have emerged around the continent.

After the Federal Republic of Angrunia and the Admiralty of Alnorud, it is the Allied States of Duull and the People's Republic of Donestk who showed interest in a more diplomatic approach to solve the ongoing conflict and avoid useless live-costly fighting. The negotiations between Duull and the NEST proved to be a failure due to the nationalists demanding the whole of Sulawesi including the state of Lacertil, and those with Donestk do not seem to show signs of success either, due to the demands for total surrender.

In addition, it should be noted that public opinion in some nations becomes less and less friendly towards involvement in the conflict. The best example of this are the United Socialist States of Quaratka, which population is critical and divided towards the decisions taken by the government. Attempts to renew this public opinion by the use of propaganda have only resulted in increasing internal dissension.

This indirectly led to the unwilling but necessary abandonment of the Rajifikistani territory previously placed under Quaratkan administrative control. This orphaned territory was therefore placed under the control of the State of Literallyeverythingistan, notable Quaratkan support. The LiterallyEverythingistani administration restored peace and order, treating the population as its own and allowing the inhabitants of the region to join the metropolitan territory of Quaratka if deemed necessary.

Other types of internal chaos are appearing as well. The Lorth Corporation of Lorth westerbitiptopion is undergoing a governmental purge following a weakening of the ruling power due to political assassinations. After the public killing of many administrators and politicians, the president of the corporation declared the end of the electoral system, the establishment of an economic restoration system and a new nuclear industry not intended for any military use. With the militarization of the Lorthian society, the forces from the NEST and the Commonwealth of the great east guaranteeing the stability of the corporation continued to support the new government in place.

Outside of crisis situations, Asian events currently are at a standstill. The only notable international occurrence not related to the continental war is the return of the Republic of Kobbans on the international diplomatic stage. Lord Brutus, the previous leader of the Southeast Asian nation, was considered responsible for this isolation which ended with his sudden death. Prince Hazel of North Kobb inherited the title of Lord and took his place as the new leader of the Republic of Kobbans. The State of Literallyeverythingistan has offered its condolences for Lord Brutus, whose madness led to his demise.

In economic news, Asia has also been rather silent in recent times. The Federal Republic of Angrunia signed the only agreement in the last two weeks by borrowing monetary funds from the Imperial Bank of the Holy Imperial Realms of Last Velneria, which then gained economic, merchant and real estate benefits.
