The influence stat is a game mechanic that has a lot of implications, but perhaps most related to your earlier RMB schedule, the more endorsements you have, the faster your influence stat grows.

When I say actual influence among NationStates players, I mean this in like a GP sense, and also I guess this is more like the original meaning of the word "influence". For example, using this meaning of influence, I could say that the US President is a very influential figure in the world stage. Or, in say TSP, I could say that Roavin is an influential player.
