I'm not really feeling my current nation and this medieval German kingdom thing, so I've decided to switch from Addunheim to a new nation, based on steppe horse archers like the Huns or Mongols. Sound good?
Plus I hope I can get some RP going.

I think I'm also going to rewrite my nation in the RP. Although being a peasant republic is an interesting concept, it isn't the most interesting thing to RP as.

Deep in Vernik lands, a small village is ravaged by a deadly disease. When doctors are sent to investigate, thosw who come back unaffected say that they can't find a treatment for it. Panic spreads as rumors spread the idea that it might be the same disease that forced the Fernusi westward hundreds of years ago. Blood Priests praise the disease as a form of divine retribution for shaming Fernusi greatness.

Chapter I: They Made Ready For War
The sky was clouded with darkness. The leaders of the 9 tribes of the Veleni made their way to the altar, carrying baskets laden with gifts and gold. They placed their offerings before the altar and took a step back. Not long after, a man clothed in black robes walked forwards, dragging a poor and helpless human with him. This human was Mirza, the so-called 'King of the Desert'. He had insulted the Veleni and in retaliation, they had brought upon his kingdom wrath so great that all that was left were the shambles of a few smouldering cities. He had been captured in battle not long after his kingdom had been ruined. It was here, in honour of the crowning of their great lord, that they decided to finally be rid of him. The man clothed in black raised a dagger and in one swoop he brought it down upon the so-called king. The man was dead in seconds and the altar became laden with blood.

It was at this moment that he rose from his tent and as he did so the entire group attending the ceremony knelt. He took one look at the priest, another at the dead man in front of him and one more at the people kneeling before him. The sky turned black and crackled with lightning. Even the gods above looked at him with awe. He was Kavad, uniter of the Veleni and the wrath of the Sky. All knelt before him for they knew he would devour the world and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. Born in darkness and despair, he was fated to go west and carve a path of destruction and death wherever he went. For it was he that finally rallied the 9 tribes of the Veleni and it was he that brought vengeance upon the Kingdom of Mirza after having been so horribly insulted. Years from now men will look to this ceremony and say 'here began the fall'. And I beheld a white horse and he that sat on him had a bow and he went forth to conquer. They looked west and made ready for war.

As the army begins to move into raider territory, raider groups form coalitions and begin to attack at random, but constantly, are nighttime raids, attacks are constant on the entire force each night, meanwhile the Imperial army begins to form up incase the invading army moves towards indiscriminate war.

word of the sickness travels with it to the Empire too, along with the sickness itself. It slowly begins to infiltrate the border regions, but luckily, there are two treatments that appear to be working, one- a long and painful process of injecting a combination of honey, diluted saps, and other fluids through needles on to entire body, the treatment is said to take around 6-7 hours at most and 4-5 at the least. The other is a common but powerful and versatile herb that grows on places like the moors and fields as well as near the water on the northern coast most commonly, but can be found in some rocky areas too. This herb, more commonly know as Klos'tor is used extensively as a seasoning and also as a lure for some animals. This plant takes the form of a flower, that when ground traditionally, and placed in or near direct heat for a long enough time, is known to have superb medical effects that increase the patients chances for survival dramatically. it has also been noted that the herb has little groth outside of the nation minus the border regions.

With Fernusi attention so close to home, the new force is ignored.

Fernusi clerics have no knoweldge of such an herb. The military orders a company to blockade the village and prevent citizens from leaving or entering.

Chapter II: Riders Spotted
The night was calm and quiet within the small Fernusi village. Located far to the east of Ferneus, it was in no immediate danger of raids from the Korintheyans, nor from the recent plague that had been devastating parts of the Federation. Little did the populace know, however, that their end was nigh. It was late into the night and 2 Fernusi guards were out on patrol around the outskirts of the village, making sure that there were no bandits or other degenerates lurking about. After circling the town two times, they decided that it was safe and to call it a night. Yet out in the distance, one of them spotted something. A number of figures were seen on a small hill, atop large horses. The rider signalled to them, thinking it could be men from the capital sent here for unknown reasons. They were wrong.
In an instant, the riders began descending down the hill. Raising their bows they struck the 2 guards with many arrows until they had both fallen onto the ground, never to rise again. By now the rest of the garrison had realised that something wrong was afoot, but it was too late. They fell upon the Fernusi village like thunder and within an instant, had massacred most of the guards within. The populace rose from their sleep and armed themselves, believing that it was just 10 riders. Unfortunately for them, these riders were only the vanguard of a much larger force, which was spotted by the townsfolk later that night. This force also descended upon the town, however. Any resistance was quickly crushed. The remaining people of the village were rounded up and taken away as the men lit the town alight. It was the beginning of the end.

The raiding of the Mevoni village raises little alarm, as many assume the attackers were simply bandits.
