	Heduan Portal Opens — New Official Government Website In June 29, the old Heyan Government Website which was made in 1980 has been replaced by a new and more modern website. It was made by a man from the Department of Research and Development during his spare time, which was then polished and published by the Cabinet of Heduan. The old website will still be available within the archives, but there will be no further updates.		Heduan Government Purchases Wheat and Rye From Manchuria As Heduan lacks the appropriate climate for the growth of wheat and rye, the government has decided to solve this problem by purchasing a steady supply of wheat and rye from the nearby Manchu Republic. The items are to be received in monthly shipments at Yomogi-1 Dockyard. The government has announced that the items will be incorporated into the weekly-distributed rations in late July.		The Embassy of Cozio Opens in Chengxue-4 The Embassy of Cozio has been opened in Chengxue-4 as the result of an embassy exchange between Cozio and Heduan on 8 June 2022. The Government of Heduan has recently acknowledged the importance of having good relations with Cozio, and the embassy exchange will be very useful in the pursuit of this goal. The Cozio ambassador, Mei Takeyama, arrived in Chengxue-4, Heduan on 9 June 2022.

I decided to make a new portal since I didn’t like the previous one. Also, although it doesn’t look as good as it is in light mode, you can at least read it in dark mode now, whereas the previous one can only be read in light mode. I may add something in the ”Other Stuff" section (a place where I put random stuff), but I still don’t have any ideas.

How is it superior to my previous portal? This one is more concise and you could find the links easily. It also looks cleaner I think.

Anyways, is good?

A smiling woman is sitting at a desk, looking towards the camera, with a window behind her. This window theoretically faced out towards the massive Rho Ophiuchian skyline, but with only about a dozen buildings visible due to the smog.

“Hello, my name is Emelia Atkinson, and this is The News, the only informative and accurate news network, broadcasting from Rho Ophiuchi. We deliver quality news quickly, and never miss a noteworthy event.”

“The Honourbound invasion of the Theocratic Republic of Reformed Violetists appears to be going quite well again, as the bombing has thankfully stopped last night, and they have begun a ground invasion of the country.”

“The Honourbound bombing of the Theocratic Republic of Reformed Violetists continued until 10:00 PM last night, and seems to have leveled most of the nation’s infrastructure. From our observations and information, we believe that the Violetist trenches and border fortifications had been completely leveled, and their governmental facilities and barracks are nowhere to be seen either. From our information, the bombing may have leveled almost the entire nation, and we estimate sixteen thousand tons of munitions dropped.”

“After about 3:00 PM yesterday, a firestorm started due to the destruction of buildings with live electrical cables as well as the fuel-air devices included in the bombings, and has continued to envelop the Theocratic Republic of Reformed Violetists until about 6:00 AM this morning, when it seems that all of the flammable materials in the nation has been burned. At this point, the nation was relatively quiet for an hour, before Honourbound launched their next assault.”

“With the Theocratic Republic of Reformed Violetists bombed and burnt to the ground, the 7:00 AM Honourbound offensive cut through the nation in two and a half hours, seizing the last bits of unoccupied territory. With this attack, the Third Rho Ophiuchian Civil War has officially ended, and Rho Ophiuchi in its entirety is back under the control of itself and friendly forces.”

“Interestingly, Rho Ophiuchian Steel & Oil issued a deadline of 6:00 PM tonight for the remaining people to get out of their recently-acquired radioactive territory – and has finally made a public statement regarding in some way their takeover of the West Rho Ophiuchian region in union with Honourbound. Here we have their take on the matter, given at the press conference at 6:15 AM this morning when they announced their deadline.”

The screen fades to black, and then fades into a scene in front of Rho Ophichian Steel & Oil Administration Building at the northern smelting site – a gigantic tower surrounded by strip mines and boreholes. Massive industrial smelters roar in the distance, belching out great plumes of smoke. A woman in her thirties is standing at a podium with a number of microphones.

“Many of you may be wondering about the current situation in West Rho Ophiuchi – as it has remained radioactive for far too long. Well, today, we can finally give a solution. Following several convenient events, we have finally managed to acquire the radioactive lands on the West Rho Ophiuchian side of the border, so that we may freely use our project to fix them. However, as we recently found out, there are some people who have decided to stay on the radioactive areas, in the interest of halting our progress.”

“The process of decontaminating land from radioactive material is after all an extensive, expensive, and quite destructive one, and these people are apparently too emotionally attached to the wasteland they currently live in to see it turned into anything better. As we are a generous corporation, and wanted to give these people some time to reconsider their choices, we had decided to give them a couple of days to leave the area – more than enough time, especially since we provided with transportation to Honourbound facilities.”

“However, we cannot delay the cleanup forever. As such, while we will give those still in the area a few more hours, we must set a hard deadline for when the process will start.”

“This deadline is 6:00 PM tonight, in exactly ten hours and fifty-seven minutes. If you happen to still be in the area as of now, know that until 5:30 PM, we will be providing transportation to leave. If you continue to reside in the area past that point, we will officially consider you a trespasser, and bear no responsibility for anything that may happen during the process of intensive industrial cleanup.”

“6:00 PM was chosen so as to minimize the maximum heat output of the city, as it is after the closure of the factories that usually produce heat in the city. As such, the heat generated by our intensive cleanup will not dramatically impact the city, which is especially important given the current heat wave.”

“Due to the confidentiality of the process, I am afraid there will be no public questions. Anyone with questions can submit them through our public relations department, and may or may not receive an answer.”

“Thank you for your time, and if you are still in the region that is contaminated, please carefully consider your next actions.”

The screen fades to black, and then back to Ms. Atkinson at her desk. “As far as we can tell, all of the information provided in that press conference was accurate. Rho Ophiuchian Steel & Oil is shuttling people from its territory to that of Honourbound, the territory is horribly radioactive, and they seem to be making preparations to do something weird to it.”

“By which, we mean that they have managed to get several hundred bulldozers and a massive amount of strip mining equipment and cement out into their territory, and seem to be shipping in even more – so they are likely preparing for their ‘intensive decontamination.’ Given that the area was known before to be quite rich in minerals, we suspect that at least a large amount of it will actually just be strip mined instead – though that would actually do a good job of removing the contamination as well.”

“In other news, the First Rho Ophiuchian Automobile Exposition has begun. As such, we have acquired a complete list of the corporations being shown in the event, as well as its budget.”

“The original automobile manufacturers, planned to be showcased since the beginning, include Hyperindustrial Motors, Incorporated, Webb Technologies, United Rho Ophiuchian Transport Services, and Howard-Wallace Automotive Products. Domestic producers also being showcased include Vortexecurity, the Rho Ophiuchi First Intercontinental Airport, and smaller corporations such as The Ultimate Space 3000 Company, Lawrence Automotive, UltraMegaSuperCorp, and Baxter Products. Finally, the exposition suprisingly attracted great international attention, especially from the Vanic Imperium, from which four major foriegn corporations came - Ísbjörn Automotives, Gullvagn Motors, Bifröst Motors, and Smíðaheim Transports Manufacturing. So, it seems that the event has gained a total of 14 billion kilograms of iron equivalent in funding - which, while substantial indeed, we suspect that the event itself will spend significantly more.

“The actual event is open to the public, and we expect to be able to have live coverage of the events, which will be done in special sessions tomorrow and the next day – so you and all of your friends will be able to see it live on television. Finally, the actual confirmed attendance of the event we have been told is well in excess of sixty thousand, mostly businesspeople, from both Rho Ophiuchi and from across the world, but apparently the number of unconfirmed guests is already fifty thousand, and is increasing.”

“After all, apparently there are great deals on some of the cars being showcased, and we have been informed that there is free pizza for anyone who looks ‘well dressed,’ whatever that means, in the exposition hall.”

“Finally, as a quick note, we would like to point out that for tomorrow and the next day, it may be safer to watch the events from afar, simply because of the uncertainties involved in some of the new technologies being used to gain a competitive advantage – many of the prototypes exploded. As such, while we will be actually going to the site to record it, we advise that our viewers simply watch the event on television, on our channel, instead of physically going to see it.”
