So what happened to Kotoko Utsugi in Danganronpa AE: UDG is considered child labor while being a child prodigy in music and getting employed in a band does not?

I'm taking the uneducated guess that the first (never heard of it) may be trying to employ a child directly or some other no-no, while the second is usually either voluntary and unpaid, "voluntary" (forced/pushed by the parents or teachers) and unpaid or an informal agreement with the parents where they get paid and the kid does what the parents say (this last one I'm familiar with, having helped film a couple shorts with under-18's on them).

Again, uneducated guess lol I'm studying IR and in that career path they don't mention child labour laws often, so I can only speak from what little experience I have

Any more questions about him?

Which planes did he fly?

the first one actually violates site rules when I say it, so no. The second one pretty much is true, however.

Sorry

So this flag that I've currently changed to is my nation's canonical flag, but I'm not too entirely sure about using it on here in an official manner since it's a bit different from the flag I've had for a while now.

Here's the flag I've used for nearly a year now: https://i.imgur.com/dj1QiJe.jpg

Here's a larger view of the official national flag: https://i.imgur.com/caUNknm.jpg

What do you guys think? Should I change back to the old flag (which I've used on here for being visually similar to the other flags I've had during my time on NS) or should I keep the official flag?

Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould is also among those calling for his resignation. Prime Minister Mike Bloomberg has not yet issued a statement.

Impressive. I would be proud.

I myself don't have much information about my great-grandparents, presumably because of the effect of the Spanish Civil War (families often want to avoid the topic even today). All I have from one of my great-grandfather is an audio of him singing one of the songs he wrote in his freetime (despite having no formal education at all). The audio is some sort of family treasure. Another of my great-grandfathers died from a smoking-related illness, and that's also all I know from him. Other family members from their generation fled to Brazil during or right after the Civil War and still live there. I know of a relative who fled to France with her children only to be caught by the Nazis, who executed them. Another one stayed in Spain and despite supporting the Republican side, but was spared through his connections to the church (which almost completely supported Franco).

I was able to meet two of my great-grandmothers, though not enough to ask them many questions about their life. One died just short of her 102nd anniversary.

Wow, your great-grandfather must have led an interesting, to say the least, life. No malice in my question, but why did the church support Franco?

Janraiqlux wrote:No malice in my question, but why did the church support Franco?

The church had long been an ally of the conservative establishment of Spain, which in turn granted it privileges in matters such as education. As the establishment grew increasingly unpopular in the early 20th century, so did the church, because it was widely seen as allied with it (also, anarchist and socialist movements had much more influence than they do today). This resulted in several riots where protesters burned down churches en masse, most notably the Setmana Tràgica in Barcelona.

The republican movement was highly critical of the church and fiercely anti-clerical. The republican 1931 constitution declared a secular state (a first in Spanish history), but also expropiated all church property, banned it from education and banned the Society of Jesus. Literally a few days after the republic was proclaimed another wave of arson attacks targeted churches in Madrid, and the republican government refused to condemn them. In this environment, the church began to openly push for the overthrow of the republic.

The violence became much worse during the civil war in republican-held territory, where priests were regularly assassinated, churches were burned or looted, and even a statue of Jesus in Madrid was subject to a highly publicized mock execution.

Thank you for the clarification.

I only know a bit about my great-grandparents, but I know that my one great-grandfather served in WWI. From what I've heard, he helped take care of the cavalry, but I don't know all the details. Another great-grandfather "went missing" in WWII in the Soviet Union and never returned home.

I don't know a lot about my great-grandfather's experience in WWII as my grandfather doesn't like talking about it, but from what I've heard, he was part of a group of footsoliders cornered by the Germans whilst travelling up the Rhine, and he escaped by jumping into the river and floating away to safety, allegedly, he later died of a disease he received from the river when my grandfather was three years old.

Good morning everyone!

I just listened to classical music, and I was thinking of... whoever synced those two music pieces a while back... I can't remember who it was, but I am glad that there are still people in the world who have an appreciation for the fine art of classical music.
