Nope. It isn’t acceptable for a delegate to just resign from the WA in the middle of a term without offering any explanation whatsoever.

Hello everyone! I am as surprised as everyone else however I am happy to fulfill my duties as entailed, as Lep stated I will be the WA Delegate until elections according to the constitution.

I never expected to take up this position and it’s timing is kind of rough to be honest lol. I had a newborn son on the 14th of April and It’s been a fun few nights but I’m always logging on here If anything I love NationStates and the people I meet on here and even now that I’m working 40 hour weeks waking up late at night to take care of my newborn there’s never been an excuse to keep me away from one of my most favorite games.

I will always be here on NationStates to do my best to care of the best pacific. I’m not looking to run in the next election however I will gladly support the next administration and maybe even be apart of it.

Mysterious Wonder is still alive and still here. Therefore Holly United has no business becoming delegate. As a member of the EEC my opinion is that an election should immediately be called for the office of delegate. Resigning the delegacy without explanation is a disgraceful act.

As the head of the EEC, Den, I have made the decision with the current vice delegate that sudden resignation of the delegate is equal to a CTE functionally. The vice delegate will take the role of delegate for the next 45 days until the official election. If you want to debate the subject, you are welcome to the cabinet office of the regional discord

The EEC isn’t a one man band with you in the chair making all the decisions. C stands for committee. Also CTE means ceased to exist, not resigned because I couldn’t be bothered anymore.

I’m not going to debate with you in some external forum. If we’re going to have a constitution then it should be followed, otherwise why bother?

Well he is the head of the council. But you are not wrong he is not the only one apart of the council. So I think it should be a decision the council should make as a whole. If the majority of the council would like a Special Election up by next week then it shall be done. But this decision should be voted on by the council.

After careful consideration of the matter and a discussion with our EEC chair. I have taken the view that it is better for the region for Holly United to remain in post until the election scheduled for June.

Holly United has my endorsement as our new delegate. I send our new delegate best wishes.

Well, if Anything would count as a good excuse those reasons would be it. Definitely make sure all is well on the home front there. Congratulations, though, that is incredible news _{(may I suggest "Panther" as a name?)}

I share these sentiments exactly. The only reason I'm a member of the cabinet is that I'm interested and involved in the WA. I'm totally inexperienced in important matters such as regional security, etc., so definitely not a good candidate.
