We recently decided to give our national animal, the golden pheasant, the same rights we give to every San Medician, so now they can't be eaten. Also 1.7% of our annual deaths are now attributed to Golden Pheasant attacks. Which is weird because golden Pheasants are, like, the size of the palm of someone's hand.
