I've actually driven a Trabant once. They're not as terrible as people make them out to be. Just... different. It took a while to get used to that weird gear shifter.

They are fairly easy to maintain and repair though. It's the kind of car you easily open up and fix at home. It's the true socialist car, and us Romanians saw tons of them. You'd have to prepare the fuel and oil mix yourself. Pretty cool cars, although I'd obviously choose a modern one.

Though, still, some people don't maintain such vehicles, unfortunately. I've heard of some that more-or-less disintegrated when they were bumped too hard.
