The Queen's State of Piney Duck is a gargantuan, efficient nation, renowned for its anti-smoking policies and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-working, democratic population of 39.66 billion Piney Duckians enjoy frequent elections, which are uniformly corrupted by big-spending corporations buying politicians who best suit their interests.

The tiny, pro-business, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Education, Spirituality, and Industry. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.4%.

The thriving Piney Duckian economy, worth a remarkable 1,358 trillion betales a year, is quite specialized and led by the Cheese Exports industry, with major contributions from Gambling, Woodchip Exports, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 34,245 betales, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 149,738 per year while the poor average 4,940, a ratio of 30.3 to 1.

A large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, the government is slowly introducing social welfare programs, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, and an underground movement of cigarette smokers has sprung up in response to a government ban. Crime is a serious problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Piney Duck's national animal is the deer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Piney Duck is ranked 251,264^th in the world and 1^st in Professional for Nicest Citizens, with 8.98 average smiles per day.
