a1 - 3, Paul is writing here to the church in Corinth (and to those who will read the letter) that whatever they do, do it in love (charity). Because anything done out of love is useless, because all we're doing is being prideful, and boasting of all that we've done, instead of all that He's done.

b. Envying, boasting, being prideful, dishonoring others, being selfish, having a short temper, being unforgiving, and delighting in evil (or even delighting when others sin) are all the works of Satan.
We should not want what others have, our Father gives us everything we ever need (and more)!
We should not boast, our life and possessions aren't ours, we laid them down to follow Christ.
We shouldn't be prideful, the Holy Spirit is the only one who changes us. And we are all heirs to the throne, Children of God, there's no first in line at the foot of the Cross, nor any equal to God.
We shouldn't dishonor others, if they've done wrong, help them up. No one is under or over you BUT GOD.
We shouldn't be selfish, God has given you enough gifts to pour out into others, not hoard.
We shouldn't have a short temper, a duck raised by a duck won't act like a cat, nor acat raised by a cat act like a duck. If we are God's children, then we should follow in His footsteps, and be quick to love.
We shouldn't be unforgiving, how would you feel if God kept a record of your wrongs? Why would you keep a record of another's wrongs?
We shouldn't delight in evil, we should be quick to tell someone (in all love and kindness) that what they're doing is wrong, show them the better way, and pray for them!
