The House of Hasier is a mammoth, safe nation, ruled by Marcus H with an even hand, and remarkable for its free-roaming dinosaurs, complete lack of prisons, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, democratic, devout population of 8.306 billion Herians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government prioritizes Administration, although Defense, Education, and Law & Order are also considered important, while International Aid receives no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kallaslow. The average income tax rate is 79.4%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Herian economy, worth 997 trillion Galactic Credits a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing. Average income is an impressive 120,119 Galactic Credits, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Criminal convictions are routinely thrown out because the accused's grandmother didn't get to testify about their good character, the government spends billions to retrieve millions worth of asteroid gold, it's all white elephants on parade, and this year's hottest fashion trend is the Lese Majeste collection. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Hasier's national animal is the Butterfly, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Muthos.

Hasier is ranked 45,668th in the world and 324th in the Rejected Realms for Most Developed, scoring 78.34 on the Human Development Index.
