"For anyone who was still unclear about the primary target of the LRFC [Law for the Repression of Freemasonry and Communism], the regime initiated a press campaign to accompany the publication of the first sentences issued by the Special Tribunal in September 1941. The Falangist Vice-Secretariat of Popular Education [Vicesecretaría de Educación Popular], then in charge of press and propaganda, ordered all Spanish newspaper editors that these sentences ‘issued by the Anti-Masonic Tribunal’ (sic) should be accompanied by detailed commentaries stressing the ‘singular prejudice that members of the [Masonic] sect have inflicted on Spain’. This was despite the fact that the whole purpose of publishing the first judgments of the Special Tribunal was to convince the public of the responsibility of the international conspiracy for the civil war. Thus those convicted, with the maximum penalty of 30 years imprisonment, were mainly prominent dead or exiled Popular Front leaders. Unsurprisingly, this included leading Freemasons like Martínez Barrio and Jose Giral, Republican premier in July 1936. The Special Tribunal also convicted a number of leading Republican figures for both Freemasonry and communism to emphasise the alleged links between the two international organisations. For example, Luis Jiménez Asúa, the socialist who headed the drafting committee of the 1931 Constitution, was convicted on both charges. Although he was undoubtedly a Freemason, the conviction of communism was based on the rather tenuous argument that he had ‘worked in favour of communism’. Some were condemned only for communism, since, to the regime’s frustration, no trace of a Masonic background could be found in the Salamanca archive. This included Juan Negrín, Republican prime minister from May 1937, although he was never in fact a Communist. For good measure his sentence added that he had carried out the ‘bolshevisation’ of Republican Spain with the aid of Freemasons."

Because Capitalists are a loosely connected group of individuals with different, similar interests. They all know taxes and regulation = lower profits, but other than that they all have their own egoes, preferences, mental issues, and above all the desire to make money, more money, now money.

The world is capitalist, they dont need to coordinate against the rising tide of communism anymore, so Capitalism decays.

There isnt long term thinking or broad, calculated rationality, because nothing about the current state of affairs, how it used to be, or where we are headed is good for the rich and powerful.
If you woke up in the body of a billionaire, you will immediately feel the crippling alienation: you are surrounded by sychophants and yes-men, you can never know who is your friend and who just wants your money, you have no interpersonal relationships, your psyche is destroyed and impossible to treat because only like 5 people can relate and theyre pedophiles, you know your actions cause direct harm to millions of people, you know your inaction caused harm to billions of people, you're tangled up in a web of petty politics and intrigue with the world's best liars and worst psychopaths, you do nothing and have no skills because everything is done for you, and on top of all that, everyone in the world would rob you blind if they could get away with it.
People who get to that position and stay in it are so far removed from moral, healthy, happy behaviour and emotions its a miracle they dont collapse immediately. No wonder they dont act rationally, because if they did they wouldnt be the Capitalists
