The Republic of Sablabba is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Abigail W Sablonski with an even hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, keen interest in outer space, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, democratic population of 2.234 billion Sablabbans enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

The enormous, liberal government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Welfare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Waterdeep. The average income tax rate is 86.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Sablabban economy, worth 216 trillion goosecoins a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Basket Weaving, and Retail. Average income is 96,871 goosecoins, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The numbers on the latest spending report are reaching stellar levels, forest fires have dropped dramatically as there are hardly any forests left, lovesick people are told 'it's not them, it's you', and the family summer vacation has become a thing of the past following the introduction of the year-round school year. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Sablabba's national animal is the grey-necked goose, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Sablabba is ranked 5,171^st in the world and 95^th in the West Pacific for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring 6,296.75 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
